During #saturdayMorningGuitar I was thinking I need to make a #guitar stand for my currently under-repair guitar ( #yamakiGuitarRepair) both as a future stand-by place and to get it off my workbench occasionally now that it's in one stable piece.
I was looking at the myriad shapes and designs that exist, not many striking my fancy, but I think I can adapt something and build it with scrap wood for zero cost. (maybe equiv of $5-10 if it were new material.)
Sketching…

Trying to get some #SaturdayMorningGuitar going here, but not coming up with things I want to enthusiastically play and sing.
What do you play with a voice devoid of enthusiasm… Leonard Cohen maybe?
Birds on wires…
Tea and oranges that come all the way from China…
Where to look among the garbage and the flowers… -
Borrowed a bass guitar for a few weeks. I have no experience on it at all, but I'm getting some interesting little riffs going.
It's rather fun to be slappin' de bass, mawn.
-
It's #saturdayMorningGuitar time but I'm sitting here unable to decide what to play. Can only tune up so long.
-
It's a #SaturdayMorningGuitar session with my tea this morning.
A bit of #Stampeders in there, then some eighties, finishing up with #TheBeths. A fifty year span covered.
Almost went back another thirty years earlier because #HoagyCarmichael's 1946 song Buttermilk Sky has been ear-worming me this week, but the only transcription I found was terrible. Will need to figure that one out the old-fashioned way sometime.

#SaturdayMorningGuitar with a handful of originals.
…and a little #Stampeders. That falsetto for "Sweet City Woman" is a challenge for a deep-voiced guy.
-
A bit of #SaturdayMorningGuitar but it's been somewhat low enthusiasm.

And my #SaturdayMorningGuitar proceeded on to include #CowboyJunkies, #IanTyson and #CrowdedHouse.
With the latter, I noticed while noodling with the intro, that one could probably do a kind of funky Spanish-guitar mashup of "Don't Dream It's Over" and #TheEagles's "Hotel California."
Might need to explore that a bit more. The subject matter kind of works together too.
-
#SaturdayMorningGuitar has been mostly just #RonSexsmith material over here. Anyone else musically noodling today?
-
Mid #SaturdayMorningGuitar session and accidentally played CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" ('cuz the tune was in my head) and holy crap is that ever a song written for today.
In fact, it's hard to imagine that it was more apropos to the time and place it was written than it is today. Prescient.

🎵 "Mr Blue Sky, please tell us why, you had to hide away for so long (so long), where did we go wrong?" 🎵

OMG there's a new super group, the "Trans-Canada Highwaymen" dropping a cover album of seventies Canadian hits and it amazingly sounds like my #SaturdayMorningGuitar come to life.
Some great tunes in there, by musicians with really good chops. Should be huge among a certain demographic. Ok… me.
-
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar because I've neglected it a bit lately.
-
#SaturdayMorningGuitar with a bit of Gordie's "Song for a Winter's Night" but the morning version.
-
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar waiting for the bread loaves to rise. A bit of Bowie and Blue Rodeo. lol
-
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar featuring Tracey Chapman, Lake Street Dive, Crowded House.
It's fun when playing multiple songs by the same artists after a while and you get see they have some favourite chords/transitions/phrases.
-
#SaturdayMorningGuitar Today with a set of neglected originals - fun to pull them out. Someday in the distant future on Bandcamp for your enjoyment! lol
Otherwise a bit of Edie Brickell, Dido, and Elton's Rocketman for retro fun.
-
#SaturdayMorningGuitar with a bit of Sheryl Crow before getting distracted.
-
Tea in hand, and it's a #SaturdayMorningGuitar – CCR, Lobo, America, Beths and Waxahatchee on the playlist.
-
"I can gather all the news I need from the weather report"
-
#SaturdayMorningGuitar and a cuppa.
This morning's old and new bits seem to be #CrowdedHouse and some #Waxahatchee.
-
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar as I haven't done much with it during the week.
-
Yay, #oddBunch produce box has arrived with lots of goodies. Didn't notice the arrival as I was wailing away on a delayed #saturdayMorningGuitar session.
I see we have an unexpected pile of Mandarin oranges in there. Must be due to my feedback last delivery that the oranges didn't show up. Ha! Nice recovery.
Also substitute of grapefruit for the otherwise scheduled peppers. We're well positioned in the fruit department this week
-
A bit of delayed #SaturdayMorningGuitar, and playing a bit of #JimCroce. I remember his songs being big when I was a little kid, shortly after he died.
Crazy how young he was! Things sure have changed - hard to imagine this guy is in his twenties when the pic was taken. Seeing someone on the street looking like that I'd say 40s.
He died in a plane crash at 30yrs old.

Saturday again. This pattern of days is getting repetitive. I can almost guess which day is coming next at this point.
#SaturdayMorningGuitar is due anyway.
-
A bit of #SaturdayMorningGuitar but also fighting a #migraine.
Waiting on a little pharma relief, but it's not a very effective new thing. Will likely fall back to old reliable and live with the minor side effects (triptan > gepant).
Not sure how a headache will affect my song choices. So far, the Blondie songbook.
-
The #monsterdon event a couple of weeks ago had a #medusa related plot and since then I've been earwormed by the ELO song "Turn to Stone" which hasn't been a totally bad thing.
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar going on just now and I'm enjoying playing through that.
No available background vocalists, sadly, but the musical structure is appealing and it would probably be well suited to an arrangement for #classicalGuitar or jazz (neither of which I have experience in playing).
-
It's a bit of #saturdayMorningGuitar.
Enjoying a bit of BlueRodeo (Dark Angel, Lost Together) and the Beths (Jump Rope Gazers, Expert in a Dying Field)
-
A little #SaturdayMorningGuitar happening. Not feeling it in a big way, but perhaps those are the best days to put it into motion.
-
The best time for #SaturdayMorningGuitar is when you don't feel like doing #SaturdayMorningGuitar – that's when you probably need some #SaturdayMorningGuitar.
-
A frosty #SaturdayMorningGuitar today. Glad to be inside!
A few more xmas songs this morning - thx to @TheWoodenheaded for mentioning Joni's River. I'd forgotten about it among the seasonal playlist – a very nice atmospheric song. Enjoyable to play.
-
Yay, the #oddBunch delivery came during my #saturdayMorningGuitar session, giving me the opportunity to combine hashtags.
Good selection, including my substitute, and a few things I don't think I saw on the list for this week. And carrots of course since we bought some yesterday.
Oh, and for a triple hashtag trifecta, there's a #caturday moggy squeezed in there enjoying the sunshine.

It's some #SaturdayMorningGuitar action! A bit of HumanLeague, Chilliwack, and (ack!) a Bob Seger even thrown in there.
Not 100% set up with my musical gear in the new house yet, but a guitar on the couch still works anywhere… except at a party. It's a real downer – don't do it, you just bring the room down. lol
