Whoof, saw a petition calling for Carla Beck to step back from leadership. Don't know if I'm fully on board there but there's some disappointments it echoes about which battles the party is choosing to fight (and there's so many!). But like, I do like her and her team are each laser focused on their assigned thing in a way that you know they'll get shit done once we shrug off Moe and his lackeys.

Leadership review happens at the AGM. I think that's the better place to air these specific grievances and bring forward resolutions? I dunno. Just don't like fighting each other when there's a much clearer problem to tackle.

#SaskNDP leader Carla Beck recently posted a response video to Danielle Smith's anti-immigrant hate fest, pointing out the context and hypocrisy. Unfortunately you can't follow people on Facebook from here, so we don't get to see it without going to log in and seeking it out. If only there was an easily accessible social media platform where progressive voices could find their audience without requiring them to send data and traffic to the big tech oligarchy.

A little Facebooky experiment

A few years ago I purged my Facebook page, left only family members and a couple close friends as contacts

This month, I'm volunteering for #SaskNDP and #uniforvotes and Facebook is still kinda the place for some stuff.

So! Let's make use of the Friends-of-Friends feature. Threw invites to several candidates that I'm working with during the election season, then another round to coworkers. This should ambiently get some exposure going. Let's see what happens.
