Fellow sapphic fiction authors: I’m trying to get a clearer picture of what challenges we’re facing & how I might help.
I’ve created an anonymous author survey (and one for readers), and I would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to fill it out: https://jae-fiction.com/sapphic-fiction-surveys/
Readers of sapphic fiction, I'd love your input!
I’m running a survey to learn more about readers’ experiences and reading habits and how you're dealing with the changes in the book world. Your perspective can help sapphic authors understand what readers want.
Take a moment to fill out the anonymous survey: https://jae-fiction.com/sapphic-fiction-surveys/
This week's Sapphic Book Bingo post is a special one:
I posted a list of 100 new sapphic fiction authors, plus a list of 100 authors who might be new to you.
For the latter, I had the readers in my Facebook group name authors they consider under appreciated and who deserve more attention.
Check out the lists on my website:

Okay, trying to get better at this promoting myself and speaking directly to readers thing. Because it's the only way LGBTQ+ voices are going to continue to be heard with the way things are shifting.
Support The UIncrustables as we achieve our writing goals this November and raise some money for #GCLS! We're still brainstorming how to entice the masses into giving, but isn't having more sapphic and queer fiction out in the world rewarding enough?! Support the queer, author version of the Justice League!

I wanted to get the word out that I am participating in SWAG4GCLS, which is the Golden Crown Literary Society's version of NaNoWriMo for authors of sapphic fiction.
On top of reaching our writing goals for the month, you can also donate money to GCLS, which is a great org that promotes, support, and engages the community in getting the word out about sapphic fiction and the writers who create it.
If you'd like to donate to my team The Uncrustables, you can go to this link to do so: https://secure.givelively.org/teams/golden-crown-literary-society/swag4gcls-sapphic-writers-achieving-goals/the-uncrustables

Well, you know when you don't really market a book because you're busy running a coffee shop? That''s what happened with my last book. So, here's a bit of info: https://kiteyre.pika.page/posts/about-my-last-book
I've platform hopped to Pika so, of course, I need a new introductory blog: https://kiteyre.pika.page/posts/spinning-around-again

Lately, I've been getting a lot of questions from readers such as:
What’s the best place to get books if I’d like to make sure more of my money goes to the author?
Or: Which format (ebook, paperback, audiobook, KU...) earns authors the most?
I have written a blog post in which I tried to answer those questions.
Read it on my blog: https://jae-fiction.com/how-to-make-sure-more-of-your-book-money-goes-to-authors/

One of the best things about being currently unemployed and focusing on my writing is the extra time with the kitty cats.
Saro is curled up next to the radiator while I write. Pretty sweet situation.

New #Introduction post: Been on Mastodon since 2022, reinventing myself here. #WebSerial writer and #TimeTravel fan. Enjoy writing/reading #Yuri & #SapphicAuthors. Am out there in the gender spectrum. If you know me, you know me.
Formerly hosted with WordPress, looking for a new web location that isn't interested in taking my data for AI. Please let me know if you have any leads.
That will do for now. Thanks for reading, be well all.

Remember the pirate who is tossing English-language sapphic fiction into AI, producing horrible translations, & publishing them on Amazon?
They are still at it. We are up to 178 stolen books & counting.
Authors, please have a way for me to contact you if he steals one of yours!

1,900 words rewritten today which makes it the best editing day I've had since I started the rewrite (and the only day I've hit my target). 4.5 hours of novel work in a day feels very good. I've missed this.

Question for author and reader folks.
How many children can be in a novel (mainly about the parents but also the effect on the kids) before it feels like it's too much? Is there a sweet spot or is it all about the execution?
(I'm not doing anything to the kids, don't worry!) 😬

It's the last day of the I Heart SapphFic Mega-Sale featuring hundreds of books at low prices.
