At the age of 24, I saw on three consecutive days Alejandro Jodorowsky's Santa Sangre, Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salò, and Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange.

Curiously, of the three, Santa Sangre lingers the most in my memory. In contrast, I hardly remember A Clockwork Orange. However, Salò remains the most profoundly disturbing movie I have ever watched.

L'idea del soggetto nacque da #RobertoLeoni mentre lavorava in un biblioteca di un ospedale psichiatrico e studiava casi sul disturbo dissociativo di identità, così propose l'idea al produttore #CarloArgento, che l'apprezzò subito e aggiunse anche qualcosa alla storia.
