A hard no for Matt Mahan, San Jose (CA) mayor and Democratic gubernatorial candidate.
Per the San Francisco Chronicle today, “Billionaires backing Mahan’s governor run”, we see another example of the entitlement, corruption, and greed rotting Silicon Valley.
The Democratic Party and voters must enforce position that campaign funding and promotion from corporations, billionaires, and their PAC's must be eliminated. And the recognition that anything that billionaires and corporations do is purely for the sake of greed and monopolistic goals.
Any Democratic candidate that accepts campaign funding and tacit support from corporations, billionaires, and their PAC's must be eliminated in the primaries.
While I haven’t settled on my Democratic candidate for California governor, Matt Mahan is off the list.

San Jose, CA 95131"Do you have any broken appliances, small pieces of furniture, clothes, accessories, bicycles, or toys at home? Don’t rush to throw them away! Come to Repair Café!
Repair Café is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization with a mission to reduce landfill waste by helping people repair items that would otherwise be discarded, thereby extending the lifespan of these items and fostering connections with care and compassion.
To date, hundreds of people have brought various broken household items to participate in the activities, where volunteers work with them to try and repair them.
Items repaired include:
Small Appliances (e.g., toasters, irons, vacuum cleaners)
Small Machinery (e.g., lawnmowers, lawn trimmers)
Electronic Products (e.g., clocks, DVD/CD players)
Computers and Related Equipment
Bicycles
Sewing and Textile Products
Costume Jewelry and Crafts
Lamps
Suitcases
Small FurnitureThe activity is completely free, and Repair Café does not charge for repairs.
Maximum two items per person
No hemming services
Walk in are welcome, no appointment necessary
