Overview Within the San Joaquin Valley in the State of California, otherwise known as the Central Valley, is the site of Kings County, California. While the City of Hanford serves as the county seat and is firmly located in the fertile valley, the City of Avenal is located to the southwest in a more semi-arid region of the State of California. @Hey_Beth I’d like to see a #NewCity or #Arcology as an alternative to typical #Sprawl which often results in open spaces and prime ag lands near existing cities being destroyed. However, the first draft of this proposal didn’t look green enough and it would be better to put it on the #WestSide of the #SanJoaquinValley, where it could replace thousands of acres of almonds, use other land too alkaline to farm, and include new neighborhoods with decent housing and water for #farmworker families.
