For some reason this song, performed by The Sandpipers, jumped in my head this morning as I stumbled around the house ... well it is Saturday after all. Hmmm ... they weren't actually performing the song this morning ... I mean they originally performed the song back in the 60s. It was a 1969 movie track song for The Sterile Cuckoo and also release in an album, same name in 1970.

A semipalmated sandpiper (Calidris pusilla) at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in late May. These are another shore bird which breeds in northern Canada and Alaska.
