Dulces y refrescantes, #sandías y #melones son sin duda los reyes de los postres del verano.
Una de las cuestiones que más intriga a la comunidad científica es de dónde proceden estas dos #hortalizas, próximas al pepino.

Vamos a dejar de hablar de records, porque este va a ser ya difícil de superar. Seguramente será *EL* #LunesDeCestas del verano por excelencia. 🙆♀️
En #sandía tocaban 3,7Kg por cesta. Y el resto eran 17kg, nueve de ellos de tomates. Vamos, casi 21kg. 😵
Para la foto hemos tenido que hacer una panorámica de esas. 📸Y como veis, además de las sandías, tenemos #tomates de diversas formas y colores, #ajos, #pepinos, #cebollas, #calabacines, #berenjenas blancas, #pimientos gordos e italianos, #Lechugas, #cebollas y #sandías.
También hemos abierto un tomate. Para daros env... Una idea de cómo son por dentro. 😉
Esperamos que podáis encontrar también verdura y frutas ecológicas de temporada y cercanía allá donde viváis y que las disfrutéis mucho. 🤗

hablamos hace poco, de pasada, de nuestra experiencia con el #AbonoVerde en la finca de La Barca.
Tenemos más vídeos, pero se nos va pasando el tiempo. 😁
Hoy os traemos otro. 😊Esta finca la alquilamos para cultivos de secano y que requieran más espacio. Como las #patatas, #melones, #sandías, #calabazas etc.

How will climate change affect skiing in New Mexico?
I have been investigating that question with a focus
on my local ski area Sandia Peak.Findings so far:
Daily snow pack (via SWANN model) going back to the eighties show vaguely less precipitation in last decade, but no clear correlation to ENSO.
Season length (as I define it) shows a clear downward trend
consistent with warming.

Local overnight snowfall--only the third measurable of the year for us--was melted by noon as it usually is, but always lingers higher on the mountain. (Note snow showers continue at right.) The crest of the back face is @ 10,678'. (POV just north of Albuquerque...)

"Please return to your seats and refasten your seatbelts; we're advised we may encounter some turbulence over the Sandias." Southwest is the main airline out of the Albuquerque "Sunport"--plus, hey, we'd already bought the tickets months ago. Anyway, they did okay this week: everything was as scheduled--on time--and no lost luggage even across the layover transfers both going and returning.

Fiesta's in October...but today there were a few aloft, keeping their hand in. Barely 50 F on the ground; probably pretty cold up there by NM standards. (Maybe warmed a little by the burner fired up to gain altitude...)
