Lençóis Maranhenses National Park

At first glance, the dune field of Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in northeastern Brazil looks like a desert. But this area’s rainfall tops 50 inches a year, exceeding Seattle’s typical amount. The result is white, crystalline sand dunes with colorful lagoons nestled between them.

I am working on expanding my Eyesing visual tool with a sand dune formation algorithm. The existing infrastructure requires that I do it with shaders in Processing, which is quite a fun pickle considering the transport of sand grains across the lattice... In any case, it's not there yet, but the faulty outputs are already quite interesting.
