Back in the mid 90s I was living in a basement on the edge of Albuquerque's downtown. There was a Laundromat down the street that had an MVS machine with Samurai Showdown in it. I played a ton of it while I waited on my laundry. The last thing I need is more videogames but when I saw the collection was on sale, I couldn't resist. Victoly!

Dear #SF6 diary—you're now also a #SamuraiShowdown diary of sorts, because I've been dabbling in that some evenings with a fellow enthusiast. The weapons allow for expressive character designs, and it's less sweaty than Street Fighter at the moment.

Speaking of #StreetFighter6: I recently made it to the Gold 4 rank, which is a nice marker of progress. I'd attribute at least some of it to more consistent counter DI, and better, situationally appropriate uses of st.MP and st.MK in neutral.

The various #PSPlus #BeatEmups are a lot more fun with my new #ps5 #Hori fighting stick. Just finished #SamuraiShowdown and #EXLayer. Will mod the stick to #Sanwa buttons & #Seimitsu stick later though :D
