Except half the videos would not play on a 2015 #SamsungTV.

So I tried out #GenAI.
#ChatGPT specifically.
I tested the produced scripts by seeing if the vid would play on the tv.

No they wouldn't.

I can drive a car with my eyes closed.
(Try this only on a large flat bare expanse with a co-driver.)
But not very far before I'll stray from a straight line.

GenAI can give me correct answers.
But the incorrect answers aren't distinguishable - without testing or prior knowledge.

Utter crap.

A little more reading of some non-AI internet had me try just changing the file type suffix from webm to mkv.
That's #Matroska, #MKV - a container.

And the video (only) plays on the #SamsungTV base model code #JU6400.
And the TV tells me the audio format ( .opus) is not supported.

But #FFMPeg made short work of transcoding audio. Under 3 minutes instead of hours. Went to aac. Still renaming the webm file to a .mkv container.

I’ve attached some screenshots and a short demo video below so you can check it out.

I haven’t tried casting music from YouTube or SoundCloud yet, or from Android to Debian, but I’ll let you know if I give it a shot. Hope this helps! 🤗
