Global rollout of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy Z6 foldables is underway!

The Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 phones are also getting the One UI 9.0 update, which is based on Android 17, globally. It brings an improved experience for your Galaxy phone by introducing new features and other enhancements, including the new Galaxy AI features that first landed to the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8 series.

Samsung has started the global distribution to the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, with more eligible devices being expected to receive the stable update during the next few weeks. Please note that the update may not have reached your phone and/or your country yet, so you’ll have to be patient while the update reaches your device. You can identify the update with a build number ending in EZIH.

To install One UI 9.0, navigate to your system settings > Software update > Check for updates > Download and install. If you still see “Your software is up to date”, your phone may not have received the update yet.

Always install the software update when the battery is charged. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems may occur later. There is no need for you to wipe your phone’s cache after the software update. Please note that the download may take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your internet connection.

One UI 9.0 Beta 2 is now live for the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip6!

The One UI 9.0 beta program started for users with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 series devices in eligible countries. It provided several features, such as the Masking Tape feature in Samsung Notes and the enhanced quick panel that allows you to take it to the next level in your style with even more customization options.

Starting from today, One UI 9.0 Beta 2 is now available for those who have already joined the beta program with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 in the above countries mentioned. The second beta version of One UI 9.0 is now available to fix some bugs and to incorporate general improvements across the whole operating system based on user feedback and internal evaluation, according to Tarun Vats.

One UI 9.0 Beta 2 is available under build ZZI8, with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 devices that joined the beta program receiving it. The following changes were made:

• Bugs that have been fixed
  • Added new Al features
  • Fix for Bixby Vision translation errors
  • Improvement of temporary crash issues in the Contacts app
  • Improved white balance when turning Color optimization On/Off

We encourage you to please report all bugs found to the Beta program community so that Samsung will analyze your feedback and implement fixes and/or improvements based on them.

To update your Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 to One UI 9.0 Beta 2, first make sure that you are already in the beta program. Then, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings, and navigate to System Update
2. Tap on Check for Updates
3. Press Download and Install
4. Wait until the download and the installation is complete, then press Reboot Now
5. Wait until the phone reboots successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 10 to 20 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

We are very thrilled to announce that Samsung has recently opened the One UI 9.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 for the following countries:

• Korea
• United States
• United Kingdom

This gives us a hint that the Beta Program is now open for those who are using the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6. Users should be able to try out One UI 9.0 in its earliest shape and form on their Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 devices, including the base model, the Plus model, and the Ultra model.

To join the Beta Program, you must have the latest version of Samsung Members installed. You can get the latest version through either the Galaxy Store or the Play Store. Once done, you should be able to join the program if you have an eligible device.

August 2026 security patch expands for Galaxy S25, S24, Z Fold6/7, Z Flip6/7

Samsung have revealed what vulnerabilities the August 2026 security patch has fixed earlier, as you can see here. This kind of update ensures that your phone, your tablet, and other devices become more secure as updates come along. Those updates are rolled out staggered, depending on your region and your device model. For instance, while the Galaxy S26 gets monthly updates, the Galaxy Tab S11 gets quarterly security updates.

June 2026 security patch is live for Galaxy Z Fold/Flip6 and Fold6 SE

Samsung have revealed what vulnerabilities the June 2026 security patch has fixed earlier, as you can see here. The company has started rolling out the June 2026 security patch to the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip6 and Fold6 SE foldable phones, as part of the monthly security update rollout, starting from Korea.

This security patch has a size of almost 405.49 MB, and it brings the June 5th, 2026 security patch that fixes many vulnerabilities that were discovered since the last monthly security patch. This contains all fixes to vulnerabilities discovered since the last security patch released for these phones, and it doesn’t introduce any new features.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition also gets the update, though the device is available only in Korea. However, users of Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 should be able to obtain the security update in other countries as early as next week.

Galaxy S24 and Z Fold/Flip6 One UI 8.5 beta builds spotted!

Last week, the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip7 series entered the One UI 8.5 Beta Program as an effort to expand the beta program to more flagship devices. This came 3 months after the Galaxy S25 series joined the program.

Today, a new development emerged, because the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip6 series and the Galaxy S24 series have started internally testing the One UI 8.5 beta builds, as spotted by Tarun Vats.

This suggests that the One UI 8.5 beta program for these devices will be opened soon, for a subset of countries like Korea, USA, and India. The forums will be opened for these devices once the program officially starts, with the expected duration being in a week or two.

However, Samsung has also started testing the One UI 8.5 beta builds for both the Galaxy S25 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE, which is unusual for Samsung’s beta programs, as the FE variants are usually excluded from the program.

Once the beta program opens for all these devices, we’ll inform you.

Igrzyska Olimpijskie to najstarsza i największa międzynarodowa impreza sportowa, organizowana co 4 lata. W tym roku igrzyska odbywają się w Paryżu i startują 26 lipca. Paryż żyje tym wydarzeniem. Byłem tam dosłownie tydzień temu, na premierze najnowszych telefonów Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 i Z Flip 6 oraz zegarków i słuchawek. Miasto zablokowane i rozkopane, ale widać już światełko w tunelu i za tydzień powinni być gotowi. Francja wydała podobno prawie 3 mld euro na oczyszczenie Sekwany, aby mogły odbywać się w niej zawody wodne. Jakość wody potwierdziła nawet sama mer Paryża, Anne Hidalgo, która wykąpała się w rzece i… nic się jej nie stało!
