While we are awaiting the stable One UI 8 rollout on September, with the fifth beta for the Galaxy S25 being scheduled for this week, the new photo watermark feature has been showcased by PhoneArt on X.

    This new photo watermark comes in two styles: landscape and portrait. Below, you can see the two watermark styles, with the top being for portrait images, and the bottom being for landscape images.

    As you can see, the images have a border that describes the device used, which, in this case, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It also contains the date and the time the picture was taken, and a bunch of camera parameters used when taking the picture.

    Currently, there is no information as to when and what devices will be eligible for this feature, other than the fact that the Galaxy S25 and the Z Fold7 will get it in the latest One UI 8 update. However, it might come to other eligible devices, like the Galaxy S24.

The beta program officially started on May 28th for the Galaxy S25 devices.   34. Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be released in May or June

    Samsung’s ultra-thin phone that will be released this year, dubbed the Galaxy S25 Edge that got revealed via the first Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event in January, got delayed to May or June. It was supposed to be released two weeks from now according to rumors, but new rumors suggest that Samsung has decided to cancel the mentioned date.

    In Korea, the news (courtesy of ETNews) of where the changes in leadership happened, especially the Mobile eXperience division, has caused the delay and not the product quality issues itself. The MX division is discussing holding the release of the Edge until May or June. Samsung has notified three carriers in Korea that were prepared for the April 15th release.

    Like the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the Edge release will be an online event where Samsung shares the release date, the price, and the specifications online. Samsung has not revealed the real reason as to why the delay has been done.

  35. Samsung starts development of One UI 8, Android 16

    Samsung has recently started development of the next version of One UI for the Galaxy S25 series. The first One UI 8 build has been spotted on the testing server for the Galaxy S25 series. According to the latest data, here are the builds:

    • Galaxy S25 Ultra: S938BXXU1BYC1/S938BOXM1BYC1/S938BXXU1BYC1
    • Galaxy S25+: S936BXXU1BYC1/S936BOXM1BYC1/S936BXXU1BYC1

    The development started two months earlier than usual, which suggests that it might get released sooner in the second half of this year. Meanwhile, One UI 7 is still in the beta testing stage with the official release date being in April of this year.

    The One UI 8 Beta Program will start in the second half of this year according to the rumors, with September being the most likely time period. One UI 8 will be installed out of the box with the next year’s phones, including the Galaxy S26 series.
