  3. I can't recommend highly enough the entire set of verses from #Arahant Sumedhā. It's the longest set in the #Therigatha recounting her attempt to get her parents to allow her to ordain. In the process she does an amazing critique of lay life specifically and #samsara generally.

    Today's reading is just three verses where she explains the cause of her connection to the Buddha's teachings in this life.
