CW: "hate crime" language (CN murder)
Cannot get my head round how articles like this can say "no evidence of a hate crime" in this context.
I think they must mean either (a) the people charged with the murder knew him, or (b) some or all of them were L/G/B/T/Q.
But like... neither of those proves that the murder wasn't motivated at all by racism, or that it wasn't motivated at all by transmisia. It's bad logic. And erasure i.m.o.
