Samidoun Denounces the Detention of Asier and Youssef and the Escalation of Criminalization Targeting Palestine Solidarity: Spain
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network denounces the detention of Asier and Youssef, two internationalist activists from the Basque Country committed to the defense of the Palestinian people, by the Spanish National Police in yet another episode of the growing repressive offensive targeting those who organize, inform, and act in defense of Palestine and its legitimate right to resistance.
These detentions cannot be understood as isolated incidents. They form part of an increasingly evident strategy of political persecution directed against organizations, collectives, alternative media outlets, activists, and individuals committed to the struggle for the liberation of Palestine. While the Zionist regime continues carrying out a genocidal campaign against Gaza, intensifies its aggressions against the Palestinian people throughout occupied Palestine, from the river to the sea, and expands its attacks against the peoples of the region, it is those who denounce these crimes who end up being persecuted, monitored, interrogated, or detained.
In this process, the apparatuses of the Spanish state are playing an increasingly active role in the criminalization of solidarity with Palestine, aligning themselves with the policies promoted by the United States, the European Union, and the Zionist regime in an attempt to isolate and silence the international solidarity movement. The persecution of activists, journalists, communicators, and solidarity organizations is not aimed at combating any real crime; rather, it seeks to generate fear, discourage mobilization, and send a warning to those who refuse to remain silent in the face of genocide.
It is revealing that, in the face of one of the most thoroughly documented processes of genocidal extermination of our time, police, judicial, and media resources are directed not against those who finance, arm, justify, or conceal these crimes, but against those who raise their voices to denounce them. Solidarity with Palestine is being portrayed as a threat, while those responsible for occupation, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide continue to act with complete impunity.
Nor can the role played by certain media outlets and propaganda platforms be ignored. For months, they have publicly targeted Asier and Youssef, spreading unsubstantiated accusations, promoting smear campaigns, and helping to create a climate of political persecution. These media outlets do not act as neutral observers or defenders of freedom of information; they function as instruments of a broader operation aimed at criminalizing any expression of solidarity with Palestine and stigmatizing those who denounce the crimes of Zionism and imperialism.
Asier and Youssef carried out public work involving information, analysis, and dissemination concerning the Palestinian cause and the political and geopolitical realities of West Asia. Their work consisted of bringing facts, events, and perspectives to society that are often silenced or distorted by the mainstream media. The persecution of those who inform, investigate, analyze, or disseminate content related to Palestine constitutes a direct attack on the right of peoples to receive truthful, pluralistic, and critical information.
When informing becomes grounds for persecution, it is not only the rights of communicators that are violated; the right of society to understand international developments and to form its own opinions is also undermined. The right to information, freedom of expression, and open political debate are fundamental pillars of any society that claims to be democratic.
Recent actions against activists, communicators, and analysts raise an issue of enormous democratic significance. What happens when informing about Palestine, analyzing international political developments, or giving a voice to actors involved in regional conflicts comes to be treated as a security problem? What happens when the exercise of freedom of expression and the right to information cease to be protected and begin to be persecuted? When certain political positions are no longer challenged politically but instead become the target of police, judicial, and media operations, what is at stake is not only solidarity with Palestine, but the most basic democratic freedoms.
The accusation of “terrorism” has become a political tool designed to delegitimize inconvenient positions and restrict public debate. Under this logic, internationalist solidarity, anti-imperialism, support for national liberation movements, and the defense of the right of peoples to resist are presented as crimes, when they form part of a legitimate historical and political tradition recognized even by international law.
We recall that the United Nations General Assembly, through Resolution 3070 (XXVIII), reaffirmed the legitimacy of the struggle of peoples subjected to colonial domination, foreign occupation, and subjugation by all means available to them. The Palestinian people are no exception. Attempts to criminalize support for their national and collective rights constitute a direct attack on internationally recognized fundamental principles.
This concerns the right of peoples to resist occupation, colonialism, and aggression; the right of societies to inform themselves, debate, and show solidarity without fear of reprisals; and the right of popular organizations to act without being persecuted for political reasons.
The detention of our comrades is not merely an attack against two solidarity activists. It is an attack against the entire Palestine solidarity movement, against freedom of expression, against the right to information, against the right to political organization, and against the right of peoples to stand with those who resist occupation, colonialism, and genocide.
The persecution of Asier and Youssef is intended to send a message to the entire Palestine solidarity movement: that informing, organizing, and taking a stand against genocide may have consequences. Our response must be exactly the opposite: more organization, more solidarity, and a deeper commitment to the struggle for the liberation of Palestine.
On behalf of Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, we express our full solidarity with Asier and Youssef, with their families, friends, and comrades, as well as with the entire Palestine solidarity movement in the Basque Country. We reject any attempt at intimidation directed against those who organize against genocide and reaffirm that repression will not succeed in isolating the Palestinian cause or breaking the internationalist commitment of peoples in struggle.
We will not ask permission to be in solidarity, nor will we accept that those who justify, finance, or conceal the destruction of a people decide which forms of solidarity are legitimate and which deserve punishment.
We will not renounce denouncing genocide, occupation, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing; identifying those responsible; or defending the Palestinian people’s right to resistance, liberation, and return. The detention of our comrades also constitutes an attack on the right to inform and to be informed, on freedom of expression, and on the right of peoples to know the reality of Palestine and West Asia beyond the narratives imposed by centers of political, military, and media power.
Because silence in the face of injustice is a form of complicity. Because when human rights become the object of persecution, defending them ceases to be an option and becomes an obligation. Because the criminalization of solidarity is not confronted by retreating, but by expanding networks of support, denunciation, and resistance. Because in the face of the fear they seek to impose, our response must be more organization, greater awareness, and stronger internationalist solidarity.
Freedom for Asier and Youssef.
End the criminalization of solidarity with Palestine.
Defending Palestine is not a crime. Reporting is not a crime.
Long live internationalist solidarity.
Long live the Palestinian resistance.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

Samidoun Warns Against Zionist Attempts to Use “Red Cross visits” to Silence Palestinian Prisoners’ Voices
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network warned of the dangers of the Zionist occupation’s announcement purporting to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to enter the prisons and detention centers where Palestinian prisoners are held captive, without allowing it to conduct direct, face-to-face meetings with them. This purported announcement of ICRC visits is nothing but a sham; it does not represent the restoration of the Red Cross’s humanitarian role in relation to the Palestinian prisoners, but rather an attempt to restrict it and transform it into a witness of only what the jailer wishes to be seen.
The issue of the denial of Red Cross visits to the Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners is not merely whether an international institution can enter prison buildings, but whether it can access the truth from its primary source, the prisoners themselves, who constitute the most important party in any humanitarian or human rights monitoring process. The network added that excluding them from the visit means that the occupation seeks to manage the scene rather than expose reality.
The network stated that the occupation is attempting, at this stage, to produce a political and media outlet that reduces the growing pressure against it amid wide-scale international condemnation and rejection, despite the ongoing support and cover provided by the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Britain and other imperialist powers, without paying any real price or making any serious commitment to stop the assaults and violations taking place inside the prisons. On the contrary, the occupation boasts about its crimes against the prisoners, with notorious fascist Itamar Ben-Gvir marking his birthday with a cake featuring a noose, as war minister Israel Katz openly celebrates occupation soldiers who raped Palestinian prisoners.
The announced step includes neither clear guarantees nor independent oversight, nor does it genuinely enable international bodies to know what is happening to imprisoned Palestinians — it is only the prisoners themselves who can accurately convey their experiences and reveal the truth of their suffering.
Any purported role for the ICRC that lacks independence, confidentiality, and the ability to listen to prisoners becomes a role stripped of impact, not merely unhelpful but actively harmful. In practice, this serves the occupation’s desire to manage the crisis instead of ending it, and containing international outrage while actively continuing and escalating the very genocidal actions that are the spark for that outrage.
The network added that treating prisoners as invisible people, unheard by anyone and unable to have their testimonies reach the world, is a direct extension of the occupation’s policy of isolation imposed upon them, a policy that extends beyond walls and prisons to silencing their voices and preventing their families and international institutions from learning the truth about their conditions.
Accepting any incomplete or restricted visits for the ICRC constitutes a dangerous precedent, allowing the occupation to impose new rules on international humanitarian work, whereby it determines who the Red Cross may see and who it may not see, what may be documented and what must be concealed. This represents a direct assault on the very concept of humanitarian oversight itself as represented by the ICRC.
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network urges the International Committee of the Red Cross to reject any arrangement that does not guarantee its full right to meet Palestinian prisoners directly and confidentially. This issue is a fundamental test of the credibility of its humanitarian role, rather than merely an administrative procedure or a protocol visit.
We also call upon all human rights forces, solidarity movements, and international institutions not to give the occupation an opportunity to use this step as a false message of reassurance. It stressed that what is required is real pressure to force the opening of the prisons to genuine oversight, expose the fate of the prisoners and the conditions of their detention, and put an end to policies of abuse, isolation, and deprivation – on the road to the liberation of all Palestinian prisoners, and the liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea.
The freedom and dignity of prisoners cannot be reduced to arrangements determined by the occupation according to its own interests, and that any international action that does not begin with the voice of the prisoner and end with protecting them and holding their torturers accountable will remain incapable of fulfilling even the bare minimum of its humanitarian and human rights obligations.

The Cause of Palestinian Prisoners is at the Heart of the Struggle for Liberation
To mark Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, an international discussion was held, organized by Masar Badil: Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, Alkarama, Tariq el-Tahrir, and Samidoun, bringing together dozens of participants in Madrid, Budapest, and online. The event, dedicated to the released prisoner Nael Barghouti, focused on the struggle of Palestinian prisoners as a fundamental pillar of the national liberation process.
An international call for the prisoners’ cause
The event was attended in person by approximately 50 people in Madrid and nearly 30 in Budapest, in addition to numerous participants connecting via Zoom. The talk was recorded in its entirety in Arabic, Spanish, and English, reflecting its internationalist character and its commitment to broadening the reach of the denunciation and mobilization.
The meeting was jointly convened by Masar Badil – Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Route Movement, Alkarama , Tariq El-Tahrir and Samidoun , within the framework of a day of political action and global awareness.
Nael Barghouti: a testament to resistance and dignity
The main guest was the released and deported prisoner Nael Barghouti , known as Abu al-Nour, who spent more than 45 years in occupation prisons.
During his presentation, he shared his direct experiences in prison, offering a political and human testimony about the conditions of incarceration, the daily resistance of the prisoners, and the central role they play within the Palestinian national movement.
He stressed that the prisoners are not only victims of repression, but living symbols of resistance and the struggle for return and liberation .
The current situation: repression, isolation, and new threats
The debate addressed the current grave situation of Palestinian prisoners, marked by:
- The intensification of repression in the prisons of the occupation
- The suspension of visits by international organizations such as the Red Cross since October 7th
- The legal difficulties and limitations of the judicial system regarding squatting
- The growing criminalization of journalists and humanitarian workers
The approval of the so-called “execution law” in the prisons of the occupation was also analyzed, noting that it responds to political objectives and that, far from weakening the resistance, it has historically contributed to strengthening it.
Deported prisoners: an invisible humanitarian crisis
One of the central themes of the meeting was the situation of Palestinian prisoners deported to third countries, especially Egypt.
The following were reported:
- Forced separation from their families
- Inability to receive visitors
- Legal insecurity and lack of rights in host countries
The participants stressed that this situation constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights and is part of a systematic policy of collective punishment.
Attempts at criminalization and media attacks
The holding of this meeting was not without attacks from media outlets linked to the Zionist movement, which attempted to criminalize the initiative and obstruct the dissemination of the voices of Palestinian prisoners beyond occupied Palestine and the Arab world. These attempts demonstrate the extent to which it is uncomfortable for the public in Europe and other Western countries to hear directly—and without intermediaries—the testimonies of those who have endured decades in the prisons of the occupation.
The role of the organizing groups as a bridge, translating and disseminating these voices in different languages, breaks the information blockade imposed by the dominant narrative. Precisely for this reason, campaigns of pressure, censorship, and criminalization are intensifying.
Given this situation, it is essential to denounce the fact that countries that present themselves as guarantors of democracy, freedom of expression, and freedom of opinion allow the persecution of activists and solidarity organizations. These practices must be combated politically and socially, defending the right to inform, to organize, and to give voice to the struggle of Palestinian prisoners without intimidation or restrictions.
The international role: responsibility and active solidarity
The meeting stressed the need to strengthen international pressure, especially in Europe, to respond to the systematic violations against Palestinian prisoners.
The role of peoples and movements in building effective solidarity campaigns, capable of breaking the isolation imposed by the occupation, was also highlighted.
Next steps: campaign for family reunification
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed to launch an international campaign focused on:
- The reunification of the families of deported Palestinian prisoners
- Pressure on European institutions, including the European Parliament
- A direct call to the Spanish State Government to raise this issue at an institutional level
An appeal was made to activists, organizations and movements in Europe to adopt and promote this campaign in their respective contexts.
The struggle of the prisoners is the struggle for Palestine
The talk concluded by reaffirming that the issue of Palestinian prisoners is not a secondary matter, but a central axis of the struggle for the liberation of Palestine .
As Nael Barghouti emphasized, the resistance in prisons is an inseparable part of the liberation movement, and its cause demands an international response commensurate with its sacrifice.
From Masar Badil and the convening organizations, we reiterate our commitment to continue strengthening the international mobilization until we achieve the freedom of all Palestinian prisoners, the end of deportations, and the right of all families to reunite.

Mohammed Khatib Speaks Out Upon His Release From Greek Detention, Calls for Action and Mobilization
In the late afternoon hours of Wednesday, 11 February 2026, Mohammed Khatib — coordinator of Samidoun in Europe — was finally released from detention in Heraklion, Crete, after an order was issued by the Administrative Court of the First Instance. He had been detained since his arrest on Saturday, 7 February, when he arrived in Heraklion to speak at an event being organized by the Assembly of Solidarity to the Palestinian People on the Palestinian prisoners, together with liberated prisoner Abdel-Nasser Issa.
His release came after wide-scale support in Greece and across Europe from the movement for justice in Palestine, with statements in France and Catalonia signed by dozens of organizations, protests in Athens and Brussels, visits from local activists and parliamentarians, and the mobilization of progressive and radical lawyers to engage with his case. Mohammed remains banned from Greece and was ordered to “self-deport” to Belgium — where he is also facing serious repression, including an order to withdraw his asylum status, currently under appeal; he was ordered banned from the country on 24 December 2025, only two days after the Greek and Cypriot tripartite summit with the Zionist entity on military, security and economic cooperation.
During his time in detention, he was held in dangerous and unsafe conditions, rife with bedbugs and infectious diseases such as scabies (also common among Palestinian prisoners in Zionist jails denied hygiene supplies and medical care, particularly after Al-Aqsa Flood and during the ongoing escalated genocide). His release came only one day after police had indicated their intention to continue to arbitrarily detain him.
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network salutes all of the efforts undertaken by people in Crete, throughout Greece, and internationally to win the release of comrade Mohammed Khatib. It is highly likely that without this attention and mobilization he would still be in detention now. We urge all supporters of Palestine to escalate attention, activity and organizing to free all Palestinian prisoners and prisoners for Palestine in imperialist prisons, including those held in Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Britain and the United States — as well as, centrally, the over 9,300 suffering, struggling and resisting inside the Zionist dungeons, facing torture, medical abuse, enforced disappearance, and the “execution” plan of Ben-Gvir and the Zionist regime. The liberation of the prisoners is an essential part of the struggle for the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea.
Mohammed Khatib’s statement, issued upon his release, is below:
I am free, after 5 days of imprisonment in what they call “detention centres” but in reality are laboratories of torture and humiliation, where dozens of minors, youth, elders, refugees, migrants and poor Greek people are all facing the same inhumane conditions. I am thankful for all your solidarity and grateful for all your support. We must also remember those who are forgotten behind bars without any rights or justice. The systemic abuse and torture in Greece reminds us of the same methods used by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people, and these are the same methods used by the colonialist and imperialist powers in this world. I call on everyone to stand in unconditional solidarity with the migrants and refugees in Greece and elsewhere and to intensify the struggle against prisons and detention centres throughout the imperial core.
During my five days of detention, I received strength and power from my people, the Palestinian people, from Mahmoud Farajallah, who passed away as a martyr in the detention centre at Brussels airport several months ago, from the long history of struggle of the Palestinian political prisoners’ movement in the occupation prisons, from our people in Gaza fighting for life and humanity against the genocidal occupier
Once again, the Greek right wing government has shown its real face and its position as a tool for Israel and the so-called United States of America, not only against us as refugees and migrants, but also against the popular masses and working class and poor Greek people who stand in solidarity with Palestine.
It is no coincidence to face this repression on the island of Crete, that is hosting one of the biggest NATO military bases and another Israeli Zionist base, it is not spontaneous to be arrested in a country led by a right-wing government that is selling its land and resources to private Zionist companies that are exploiting the Greek masses who are losing their rights, land, and sovereignty. As the Zionist regime sees the current Greek government as its strategic alliance, we also, as Palestinians and revolutionary forces, should rebuild and connect with all the progressive forces in Greece and our historical and strategic alliance for liberation, justice and sovereignty.
Regardless of my treatment, the injustice and the inhuman conditions of detention, I am honestly very grateful for the experience of being with those who are forgotten and marginalized, and to experience a very little of what they face for months or years. I know that the experience in Greece is not isolated, but that there are Palestinian prisoners and prisoners for Palestine not only in the Zionist dungeons but in the jails of Germany, Italy, Britain and the U.S. and in Belgium’s detention centers, that need all of our support and solidarity.
My final words to those criminals in “Israel” or elsewhere, you can detain us, torture us, assassinate us, but you will never ever manage to stop us from talking, acting and struggling for Free Palestine, for Free Sudan, for Free Congo; against the imperialist assaults on Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran; for the liberation of all oppressed people in the world.

January 15-25 2026: Join the Week of Action to Free Ahmad Sa’adat and all Palestinian Prisoners!
15 January 2026 marks the 24th anniversary of the abduction of Palestinian liberation movement leader Ahmad Sa’adat, the General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, by the so-called “Palestinian Authority” under its “security coordination” with the Zionist regime. For four years, Sa’adat and his comrades were imprisoned by the PA — and held under U.S., British and Canadian guard — before they were abducted, once again, on 14 March 2006 by the Zionist occupation forces. Since then, Sa’adat and his comrades, leaders of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement, have been held inside the notorious Zionist prisons, and subjected to isolation, torture and medical abuse and neglect. Today, they are among the leadership prisoners threatened with assassination daily inside the occupation prisons.
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network urges all who stand with Palestine — Palestine solidarity groups and collectives, Palestinian, Arab and Muslim community organizations, anti-imperialist organizations, political parties and liberation movements — to join between 15 and 25 January 2026 in a week of action to free Ahmad Sa’adat and all Palestinian prisoners in Zionist dungeons, in PA jails, and in the prisons of imperialist and reactionary regimes.

The Week of Action to Free Ahmad Sa’adat and all Palestinian Prisoners has been marked annually for nearly 15 years. This year, the dates also coincide with a day of media action on 15-16 January 2026 by the Red Ribbons Campaign/Save Palestinian Prisoners Campaign, which focuses on the struggle to free Palestinians in occupation prisons, including medical workers like Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, and all imprisoned Palestinians — as well as campaigning to stop the dangerous “execution law” being promulgated by ultra-Zionist, racist “Israeli” national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. We urge all to participate in this day of media action, as well as activities organized as part of this campaign on 31 January 2026 for the Palestinian prisoners and their liberation.
The call to action is particularly urgent this year. Since 7 October 2023, amid the Al-Aqsa Flood and the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, at least 87 identified Palestinian prisoners have already been assassinated inside the Zionist jails, either directly under torture or due to deliberate medical neglect and abuse. In almost all cases, the occupation continues to imprison the bodies of the martyrs — in addition to the bodies of hundreds of martyrs held hostage by the Zionist regime. Palestinian prisoners are subjected to a starvation policy, denied family and even legal visits, and subjected to repeated raids and attacks inside the prisons — all under the guise of a “state of emergency” — perpetuated for over two years and renewed only yesterday.
Liberated prisoner Georges Abdallah marks the anniversary of the abduction of Ahmad Sa’adat in Beirut, 15 January 2026The leadership of the prisoners’ movement, of which Ahmad Sa’adat is a prominent figure, alongside Marwan Barghouti, Abdullah Barghouti, Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh, Anas Jaradat, Hassan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayyed, Ibrahim Hamed, Jamal Abu al-Haija, Muammar Shahrour, Muhannad Shreim, and other leaders of the prisoners’ movement, are particularly targeted for abuse. They have been repeatedly assaulted and beaten by occupation jailers, threatened with assassination, denied medical care, starved, and thrown in isolation. At the same time, Ben-Gvir, who oversees the condition of the prisoners, and the entire Zionist government, are pushing a new “execution law” to legalize the assassination of Palestinian prisoners, particularly those designated as “elite prisoners.” Just two days ago, this bill passed its first reading in the Zionist Knesset. Now, more than ever, we must organize and speak out to save, protect and liberate all Palestinian prisoners — and support these leaders of the Palestinian resistance and liberation movement under attack.
In addition, this anniversary draws attention to the dangerous role of the treacherous so-called “Palestinian Authority,” created by the Oslo accords, and its “security coordination” regime, serving as an agent of the occupation and of imperialist powers, rather than acting to protect and defend the Palestinian people from the genocidal occupation regime. The abduction of Ahmad Sa’adat and his comrades is not a historical anecdote two decades later; instead, it has become standard practice.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been arrested and are currently held in Palestinian Authority jails because they are accused of resisting the occupation; PA prisons operate as “revolving doors” with the occupation jails. In the besieged refugee camps of the West Bank, such as Jenin, Tulkarem and Nour Shams, the PA’s “homeland protection” campaign came as a precursor to the ongoing Zionist invasions that have displaced tens of thousands. In Gaza, not only did the PA fail to act against genocide, but PA officials such as Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) have joined in the U.S.-Zionist demands to disarm the resistance, while the Rada’ (Deterrence) Force issued a statement just today warning of the PA’s role in supporting gangs of collaborators in occupied areas of the Strip.
Further, the PA has, in recent months, escalated its financial collaboration with Zionist and imperialist demands, and cut the salaries of the families of prisoners and martyrs, creating hardship and crisis for the families of those who have given the most in defense of Palestine. This anniversary is an open call to speak out, to expose and to confront this dangerous attack on the Palestinian prisoners and the Resistance.
The case of Ahmad Sa’adat highlights imperialist complicity and full involvement in Zionist genocide — and the imprisonment of the Palestinian resistance. When he was abducted by the Palestinian Authority, he and his comrades were held under U.S., British, and Canadian guard in the PA-run Jericho prison. Today, there are dozens if not more Palestinian and Palestine solidarity prisoners in imperialist jails and facing persecution, in the United States, Britain, Canada, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Austria, France, the Netherlands, and elsewhere, as well as in Arab reactionary regime prisons.
These same powers, led by the United States, are currently also attacking Venezuela and the Bolivarian Revolution by imprisoning President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, and threatening further war, aggression, and economic coercive measures against Iran, targeting the nations and peoples that continue to resist imperialist domination and plunder.
This week of action coincides with important hearings in Italy in the cases of Anan Yaeesh, Mansour Doghmosh and Ali Irar, as well as in the case of the seven imprisoned Palestinians including Mohammed Hannoun, and in the case of Ahmed Salem, on 16 and 20 January. It also coincides with an ongoing hunger strike by the Prisoners for Palestine in British jails that seeks to end British complicity in the genocide and challenge the criminalization of Palestine Action and the Palestine movement broadly. While Heba Muraisi, Kamran Ahmad and Lewie C ended their strike yesterday with the announcement that Elbit Systems would be denied a £2 billion training contract with the British military, Umer Khalid is continuing his hunger strike to demand a full shutdown of Elbit, release on bail, ending censorship of communications, a fair trial, and the deproscription of Palestine Action. We urge participants in the week of action to highlight and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian and international prisoners for Palestine held in imperialist jails everywhere, as well as in anti-imperialist demonstrations and actions against war and aggression.
Palestinian prisoners are Resistance leaders, on the front lines for justice and liberation, struggling relentlessly, with an unbreakable will, toward freedom amid the most dire conditions of torture, abuse, medical neglect and deliberate killing. This is a critical moment to take action, escalate, and make their voices heard — for justice, return and liberation.
24 years after his arrest, it is long past time for freedom for Ahmad Sa’adat, his fellow Resistance leaders and all Palestinian Prisoners in Zionist, imperialist, reactionary and Palestinian Authority jails.
33 years after Oslo, it is long past time to expose the so-called Palestinian Authority and bring down its “security coordination” and treachery against the Palestinian people.
78 years after al-Nakba, it is long past time for the liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea!
We call for an international week of actions from January 15th to January 25th, calling for the liberation of Ahmad Sa’adat, his fellow resistance leaders and all Palestinian prisoners, confronting the “state of emergency” and the “execution law,” demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, highlighting the malevolent role of the “Palestinian Authority,” and challenging the imperialist enemy. Take action to escalate against the zionist genocidal colonial entity, organize for justice in Palestine!

Three Hunger Strikers End Their Strike After Elbit Denied British Contract; Umer Khalid Continues Strike for 6th Day
On 14 January 2026, three of the Prisoners for Palestine — Heba Muraisi, Kamran Ahmad and Lewie C. — announced that they were ending their hunger strike (as they approached imminent death), following the announcement by the British government that Elbit Systems had been denied a £2 billion army training contract with the Ministry of Defence, after widespread reporting that Elbit would receive the contract. Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network salutes the Prisoners for Palestine and all of the hunger strikers on this important achievement and upon their sacrifice in the struggle for Palestinian liberation.
At the same time, Umer Khalid, another Prisoner for Palestine and one of the Brize Norton 5, has resumed his hunger strike. He has been repeatedly held in solitary confinement and denied his religious rights, while being held on remand for a trial that is not scheduled until January 2027. Umer says, “We must now continue to crush the protective skull of Zionism, which is the UK’s political and military support, under the weight of our collective mobilisation and action. Are you on the outside afraid of consequences when this life is so short? So let them keep us here as long as they want, because you can’t imprison resistance and you can’t kill a revolution. Liberation is a promise and victory is coming insha’Allah.” Umer previously conducted a hunger strike from 4-16 December 2025. It is urgent that we continue to support Umer Khalid and all of the prisoners for Palestine in British and other imperialist jails, imprisoned as part and parcel of imperialist complicity with Zionist genocide in Palestine.
STATEMENT – PRISONERS 4 PALESTINE – 14 JANUARY 2026
After 73 days of hunger strikes which began on Balfour Day, 2 November 2025, as some prisoners are facing imminent death, Heba Muraisi, Kamran Ahmed, and Lewie have ended their hunger strikes.
The decision to end their hunger strikes came as it was revealed that Elbit Systems UK was denied a vital £2 billion army training contract with the Ministry of Defence, a key demand of the hunger strikers.
The contract, which would have seen Elbit Systems provide training to the British Army over ten years, was lost despite the best efforts of officials in both the Ministry of Defence and the British Army, who it was revealed had been colluding with both Elbit Systems UK and its parent company Elbit Systems in backroom meetings and ‘tours’ to the capital of Palestine, Jerusalem, in a desperate attempt to further entrench their genocidal alliance and help them win the contract.
The abrupt cancellation of this deal is a resounding victory for the hunger strikers, who resisted with their incarcerated bodies in order to shed light on the role of Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer, in the colonization and occupation of Palestine. Since 2012, Elbit has won 25 public contracts in the UK totaling more than £333 million; the loss of this £2 billion contract marks a significant shift in this sordid “strategic alliance.” With this victory, it has never been clearer that Elbit’s days in Britain are numbered.
In addition to this key demand being met, we want to take this opportunity to celebrate the various victories achieved throughout the duration of the hunger strike:
In the past few weeks alone, hundreds of people have signed up to take action against the genocidal military-industrial complex, more than the number of people who took action with Palestine Action over its five-year campaign. During that five-year campaign, Israeli weapons factories were shut down. Elbit Systems is living on stolen time—we will see it shut down for good, not because of the government, but because of the people.
Heba Muraisi’s transfer to HMP Bronzefield has been accepted by HMP New Hall, where she is currently being held in intentional isolation from her family and friends.
T. Hoxha has been offered a meeting with the head of JEXU (Joint Extremism Unit) at her prison, the very same organization that orchestrates the prisoners’ treatment as ‘terrorists’.
Despite the cruel and constant medical neglect of the hunger strikers, including not logging food refusals, refusal of ambulances in life-threatening emergencies, and degrading treatment in hospitals, the national heads of prison healthcare have met with us at the behest of the Ministry of Justice.
During the hunger strike, some of the prisoners started receiving bulk packages of withelped mail, and in one case received an apology from prison staff for a letter that was delayed by six months. Books on topics of Gaza and feminism have also been given after months of waiting.
In pursuit of a fair trial, the hunger strikers demanded disclosure of export licenses for the last 5 years from Elbit Systems. After repeated requests, this information was disclosed to an independent researcher by the Department of Trade during the hunger strike.
The continued printing of the blood will remain on the stain on Britain’s facade of being a “democratic” country, with no sliver of law and order.
This pathetic and cowardly British government cannot resist authoritarianism; it uses fear to deter rightful protest and dissent, echoing the use of administrative detention against the Palestinian people.
The hunger strike has cemented this fact to the country, and across the world: Britain has political prisoners in service of a foreign genocidal regime. In a time of worsening political repression and widespread propaganda about a non-existent ‘ceasefire’ in Gaza, the hunger strike stands as a testament to continued defiance.
The hunger strikers have allowed those of us who were fearful of state repression to be brave—to go out once again onto the streets and fight for justice. The government should know they cannot ban a concept. Cowardly banning one group cannot stop a belief, a movement, a people. This is only the start of our collective fight to free us all, and the road to freedom runs through Palestine.
At the end of his hunger strike, on Elbit losing the £2 billion contract, Lewie said:
It is definitely a time for celebration. A time to rejoice and to embrace our joy as revolution and as liberation… We do this because of Palestine, because we’ve been inspired, because we’ve been tempted to take action and to try to realize our dreams for a free Palestine, for an emancipated world.
As these victories are declared, we turn our efforts and attention to Umer Khalid, the last remaining hunger striker, who continues to use his body as a weapon against the state in pursuit of justice.

Samidoun Statement on the German State of NRW Ordering its Website Blocked
The Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network rejects and condemns in the strongest terms the repressive decision issued by the official media bodies in the German state of North Rhein-Westphalia, to block the Samidoun website (samidoun.net), in yet another outrageous step that expresses full adherence to the Zionist project and German imperialist repression against the Palestinian people and the growing international solidarity movement with their just liberation struggle.
This decision, announced in Dusseldorf and extending to all internet service providers and data transfer companies, is not an administrative or technical measure, as it is claimed. Rather, it is a hostile act aimed at stifling the Palestinian voice and criminalizing anyone who exposes the crimes of the Zionist occupation, particularly those committed against Palestinian prisoners in Zionist occupation jails.
The accusations leveled by the German state about “hostility to the democratic system”, “incitement” — namely, by rejecting “Israel’s right to exist,” are nothing but obvious, thin pretexts used to suppress any liberated discourse that exposes the colonial and racist nature of the Zionist entity. Our position rejecting the legitimacy of an implanted colonial settler entity based on ethnic cleansing and military occupation throughout occupied Palestine is not a crime, but rather a moral and political duty.
We also renew our rejection of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior’s decision to ban the activities of the Samidoun Network in November 2023. We consider this to be a critical moment in the escalation of the open assault against the Palestinian resistance and its supporters, as well as the Palestinian people as a whole, and a continuation of the policies of the German state, which has never ceased its political, military, and media support for the illegitimate “Israeli” entity, at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people, international law, and freedom of organization and political action. Further, it is a direct contribution to Germany’s full participation in genocide in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, alongside its arms trade and supply to the Zionist regime.
Defending Palestinian prisoners is defending Palestinian rights and the just Palestinian cause. Attempts to silence the Samidoun Network will not end the voice of the prisoner movement or break the will of free peoples. Rather, they will increase the pace of political and popular confrontation against supporters of the genocide in Gaza and imperialist regimes of oppression and complicity.

Defend Venezuela, Defend Palestine: International Call to Action Against U.S. Imperialism
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network declares its full and complete solidarity with the people and government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which today confronts not only over a decade of U.S. imposed coercive economic measures and economic warfare, nor imperialist military assaults on its trade and citizenry at sea, but a full-fledged ground and air aggression by the United States, targeting the capital Caracas, as well as the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira. U.S. President Donald Trump is even boasting of kidnapping the legitimate President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros. At this moment, it is urgent for all who stand against imperialism, particularly in the United States and throughout the imperial core, to stand with Venezuela against U.S. imperialism and its criminal military aggression.
The aggression against Venezuela is cut from the same cloth as the ongoing U.S.-Zionist assault on Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and throughout the region, including the ongoing and escalated war threats against Iran. As the U.S. bombs and invades the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela — notably, just days after Trump’s meeting with fellow war criminal, Zionist prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu — the Zionist regime is threatening yet more attacks on Lebanon, as it continues to bomb the South on a daily basis, and on Gaza, where it continues its genocide, even amid the one-sided “ceasefire.”
The U.S. has even attacked the mausoleum of Venezuelan leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Hugo Chavez, who famously declared in 2009 that the Zionist entity was guilty of genocide in Gaza and expressed his strong support for the Palestinian people’s liberation struggle. As in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Iran, once again, it is imperative to affirm full solidarity with Venezuela’s right to defend itself and to resist U.S. imperialist assault.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is being targeted today for its resources and its oil, which war criminal Trump openly boasts of demanding for U.S. control, domination and exploitation. However, more than simply for its oil, Venezuela is being targeted because the Bolivarian Republic stands, clearly and firmly, for the right of the people and government of Venezuela to control its own destiny and future, and for the rights of the people of the world to do so. This includes breaking all ties with the Zionist entity and repeatedly standing in international forums for Palestine.
In 2018, Ahmad Sa’adat, imprisoned General Secretary of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and a prominent leader of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement, wrote:
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has been a stalwart friend of the Palestinian people. In all international arenas and forums and through practical support and material solidarity, the Venezuelan people and state have stood with the Palestinian people, confronting imperialism and Zionism. Venezuela’s rejection of diplomatic ties with the Israeli colonial regime stands as an example in the world of principled solidarity and boycott, especially as the Palestinian movement, including the Palestinian prisoners’ movement, urges international boycott, divestment and sanctions against Israel… We know well the words and actions of Hugo Chavez in support of the Palestinian people and his clear condemnations of the Zionist attacks on the Palestinian people. ‘The State of Israel has become a murderous lackey at the service of imperialism…It’s a genocidal government. I condemn that Zionist government that persecutes the heroic Palestinian people,’ Chavez said. His words on Palestine and in support of the struggle of our people have bolstered the strength and resolve of Palestinians everywhere.
Venezuela has been, for over a decade, targeted by sanctions and siege — illegal unilateral coercive measures — imposed by the United States. This has formed a fully fledged hybrid economic war on Venezuela, for the purpose of “regime change” to a Venezuelan “opposition” that is fully in the pocket of U.S. imperialism and allied with Zionism. It has also birthed creative and resilient responses to U.S. coercion, in alliance with other targeted states, such as Iran, as well as expanded trade with China, Russia, and other BRICS powers. This is the same policy of siege and starvation that has been intensified and focused for the past 17 years upon Palestine and its Resistance in Gaza. It is extended to the policy of “anti-terror” designations and individualized sanctions imposed upon every identified individual in the world involved in confronting U.S. imperialism, which the U.S. demands be treated as global edicts.
This refusal to allow the U.S. to control the trade in Venezuela’s world-largest oil reserves is part of the global effort to shatter the hegemony of U.S. imperialism and dollar domination of international trade. Venezuela is targeted today, alongside its leaders, because, like Simon Bolivar, from whom the Bolivarian Republic takes its name, it defends sovereignty, freedom, self-determination and the entire global South against imperialism; because Venezuela has dared, since its Revolution, to say ‘NO’ to empire.
The kidnapping of legitimate Venezuelan President Maduro is yet another egregious adventure by U.S. imperialism, following failed efforts to use collaborators and bribes to secure their goals. Before being subjected to this invasion and kidnapping, he was targeted with a $15 million U.S. bounty on his head. The kidnapping and assassination of leaders is a strategy used by the imperialist-Zionist alliance in Palestine, in Yemen, in Lebanon, in Iran and throughout the region, as is the posting of extensive bounties seeking to market the lives of those who refuse U.S. imperialism. In fact, many of the Resistance leaders targeted by the occupation (often with U.S. intelligence as well as nearly always with U.S. weaponry) have been targeted by such bounties, including the martyrs Saleh al-Arouri (martyred two years ago yesterday), Haitham Ali Tabataba’i, assassinated just 40 days ago in Lebanon, and, of course, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, assassinated with 80 tons of U.S.-made explosives. The combination of kidnapping, imprisonment and assassination of leaders is the standard imperialist and colonialist playbook, epitomized by the campaign of imprisonment and assassination targeting the Palestinian resistance.
Indeed, this 3 January assault on Venezuela comes six years to the date after the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Mohandis in Baghdad, Iraq, on 3 January 2020, in yet another blatantly unlawful crime of U.S. imperialism. This infamous anniversary is now marked by yet another U.S. crime of aggression against the people and nations of the world who act and organize to reject imperialism and its plunder, domination and hegemony.
The Venezuelan government has affirmed that Vice President Delcy Rodriguez is safe, and will assume the duties of the legitimate President captured and illegally kidnapped by the United States.
This is a moment for resistance and for action. It is clear that the U.S. sees the slaughter of even the appearance of international law under imperialism in its imperialist-Zionist genocide in Gaza as an open door to expand its aggression everywhere in the world, without even an attempt to manufacture other than the thinnest pretext and while openly declaring their thirst for the resources of the people of the world.
It is an urgent responsibility for everyone and every organization in the United States and in the international core to stand now for Venezuela, to escalate, to protest, to take direct action — as we stand simultaneously against the ongoing genocide in Palestine, the attack on Lebanon, and the aggression against all the peoples of the region and the world who confront and resist imperialism. We must not allow business as usual or content ourselves with mild condemnations.
The Palestinian liberation movement is fundamentally an anti-imperialist movement; the Palestinian people confront not only Zionism in Palestine and its entity “Israel” but the imperialist powers — if this was not clear before Al-Aqsa Flood, it is more clear than ever now. The front to defend Venezuela is a front to defend Palestine, for the liberation of land and people, and to confront our collective imperialist enemy.
In 2022, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro noted: “The Axis of Resistance exists throughout the world; it exists in Africa, in Asia, in the Middle East, in Latin America and in the Caribbean. The Resistance also belongs to the people who are fighting against neoliberalism, racism and various forms of colonization…The 21st century is our century. It is the century of the unity of the people. It is the century in which people will be liberated. It is the century of justice and truth. Empires are in decline, and people’s projects for well-being, development and greatness have just begun. This century is our century.” There are two paths for the world: of the resistance of the people, of Al-Aqsa Flood and the Bolivarian Revolution; and of the horrific crimes of imperialism and the blatant greed and thievery of the U.S. empire in decline. It is our task to make the first path — the global camp of resistance — larger, stronger, and, indeed, victorious.

Palestinian Political Prisoner in Italy Anan Yaeesh Returns to Court on 21 November
On Friday, 21 November, Anan Yaeesh, Palestinian political prisoner in Zionist jails, along with Ali Irar and Mansour Doghmosh, will face his next court hearing in L’Aquila, Italy. The Free Anan campaign is calling for the widest participation in rallying outside the court and supporting them inside on Friday, 21 November, at 9:30 am, Via XX Settembre 68, outside the Tribunale de L’Aquila.
The prosecution will be presenting their closing arguments on 21 November, and reports indicate that the Zionist ambassador to Italy will be present in the court — making it more important than ever to show a strong presence to hold war criminals accountable and free Anan and his comrades.
Anan has been held recently in the high security Melfi prison, after he was transferred from the Terni prison, seemingly in retaliation for the popular demonstrations outside the prison in support of his release. This means he is further from both the L’Aquila court and from Rome, where his lawyers are based, deliberately hindering his defense.
While the imperialist Italian government under right-wing Georgia Meloni has repeatedly proclaimed its dedication to the Zionist colonial project in occupied Palestine, the Italian people have demonstrated their outrage against Zionist-imperialist war crimes, including demanding the release of Anan and dropping all charges against him and his co-defendants, Ali Arar and Mansour Doghmosh.

- Call the Italian embassy or consulate in your country and call on them to free Anan Yaeesh and Ahmed Salem, and to drop all charges against Anan, Ahmad, Ali and Mansour.
Anan is a 37-year-old Palestinian activist and a former prisoner in Zionist jails from Tulkarem in the West Bank of occupied Palestine. Active in the liberation movement during the Second, or Al-Aqsa, Intifada, he was imprisoned for 4 years in Zionist prisons and seriously injured after an ambush by colonial special forces in 2006. In 2013, he left Palestine for Norway before settling in Italy in 2017 and obtaining a residence permit there in 2019. At the end of January 2024, he was arrested by the Italian police in the city of L’Aquila, where he resides, then transferred to detention in the high-security prison of Terni — and now to Melfi — for alleged collaboration with the Tulkarem Brigades, an organization linked to the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (one of the armed groups of Fateh, that continue to uphold Palestinian liberation rather than “security coordination” with the occupier.)
While the L’Aquila court rejected the initial attempt to extradite him to the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine on 12 March 2024, noting that he would be subjected to torture, Italian prosecutors arrested two more Palestinians one day before, on 11 March 2024 — Ali Irar and Mansour Doghmosh — accusing all of them of supporting the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades in Tulkarem. In September 2024, the court ordered Ali and Mansour’s provisional release, while the charges remained in place, but Anan has been continually imprisoned in a high-security facility.
On Wednesday, 26 February, Anan Yaeesh addressed the court, emphasizing the legitimacy of Palestinian resistance under international law and the necessity of confronting genocide. (Read his full statement here.) He noted:
“You want me to defend myself against the accusations against me, but I am ashamed to seek acquittal on charges that, for me, represent a source of honor. I do not want to defend myself against the accusation of having rights and having claimed them, or of having tried to liberate my people and my country from colonial oppression. I swear that I have no intention of being acquitted of the legitimate resistance against the Zionist occupation. The Palestinian resistance is one of the noblest phenomena known to history. On the contrary, I am ashamed to find myself in a warm room, even in prison, while children in Gaza die of cold, hunger, and thirst. I am ashamed of the humane treatment received from the prison authorities here, while my fellow prisoners in Israeli jails suffer the worst torture, oppression, and abuse.”
Anan’s trial has been repeatedly delayed, especially as the movement in solidarity with Palestine has grown; his supporters believe that these delays are a deliberate attempt to forestall a verdict due to the potential for popular outrage and action if Anan is convicted or, even worse, extradited to Palestine. The final hearings in the case were scheduled initially on 19 and 26 September, but due to the transfer of the associate judge, they have been rescheduled without applying the mandatory procedures to avoid interruption of the proceedings and the constitutional right to a trial without undue delays. The conclusion of the preliminary investigation is now scheduled for 31 October, with the prosecution’s closing arguments on 21 November and final closing arguments, including for the defense, on 28 November.
During the trial, the Free Anan campaign writes, “the prosecution failed to prove any involvement of the three in violent actions against either civilians or Israeli settlers. No breach of the limits imposed by international law regarding the right to resistance was shown. In fact, the prosecution failed to even prove that such events ever occurred. This confirms the political nature of a trial that increasingly appears an attempt to criminalize Palestinian solidarity and resistance.”
Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network urges all Palestinian, Arab and international activists and organizations for Palestinian liberation to stand with Anan Yaeesh, Ali Arar, Mansour Doghmosh and all Palestinian prisoners in exile and diaspora, and the international prisoners of the Palestinian cause in imperialist jails. Support Anan’s legal defense, protest or deliver letters to Italian embassies to demand that the trial of the three Palestinians ends with all charges dropped, and publicize his struggle for liberation as part and parcel of the struggle to liberate Palestine, from the river to the sea.

Imprisoned Palestinian Leader Abdullah Barghouti Subjected to Torture in Occupation Prisons
Imprisoned Palestinian leader Abdullah Barghouti — one of the leadership prisoners that the Zionist occupation regime has repeatedly refused to release — is being subjected to severe torture and abuse inside the occupation prisons. As Zionist politicians, including the infamous fascist Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, in charge of the occupation prisons, further their draft “law” for the execution of Palestinian prisoners, they continue to seek to legitimize the existing practice of slow assassination and extrajudicial killing inside the occupation jails.
Palestinian prisoners, especially the over 1468 Palestinians abducted from Gaza by invading genocidal forces currently held in the occupation military camps and prisons, in addition to the thousands of Palestinians from Gaza who have been liberated by the Resistance, are routinely subjected to physical and psychological torture, sexual assault and rape, starvation, denial of medical care, medical neglect, beatings, denial of access to hygiene and sanitation needs, denial of family and legal visits. Those being held in the underground Rakevet prison, including Palestinians from Gaza and Lebanese prisoners abducted from Lebanon, as well as those held in the notorious military camps like Sde Teiman, have been subjected to the worst abuses in a system constructed on torture. Over 83 names of Palestinians martyred in the occupation prisons in the past two years have been released, while a new report revealed that at least 98 Palestinians have been martyred in the prisons; however, hundreds of Palestinians’ bodies returned to Gaza show clear signs of being imprisoned and restrained, killed through torture or extrajudicial execution.
The imprisoned leadership prisoners are also singled out for severe abuse, particularly as they represent widely admired and respected figures within the Palestinian prisoners’ movement and within society as a whole, are representatives of the Palestinian resistance, and exemplify the commitment of the Palestinian people to achieve their liberation by any means necessary. The occupation seeks to humiliate and break the will of those whose unbroken will has become a symbol of the Palestinian people’s dedication to their land and liberation. They include Abdullah Barghouti, Ibrahim Hamed, Hassan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayyed, Ahmad Sa’adat, Marwan Barghouti, Jamal Abu al-Haija, Anas Jaradat, Muammar Shahrour, Mohammed Jamal Natsheh, Muhannad Shreim, Mohammed Arman, and many others, among the nearly 10,000 Palestinians imprisoned by the occupation.
Abdullah Ghaleb Barghouti, 53, and sentenced to 67 life sentences for his role as a leader and engineer in the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has been imprisoned since 5 March 2003. During that time, he has been repeatedly held in isolation and solitary confinement alongside other leadership prisoners. Most recently, he is being subjected to extreme physical torture and abuse in Gilboa Prison; in a statement, the Asra Media Office emphasized that the Zionist treatment of Barghouti is an “attempted slow execution against one of the most prominent leaders of the prisoners’ movement, and a crime that could lead to his martyrdom at any moment.”
Barghouti and his fellow leadership prisoners were immediately isolated after 7 October 2023 and the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, and further held in isolation throughout the US-imperialist-Zionist genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. He is currently held in Gilboa prison, where he has been subjected to systematic beatings for over 25 months. Occupation jailers have invaded his room at all hours of the day and night, accompanied by dogs, and beat him until he is bloody. His fellow prisoners in the isolation section have nothing to treat the wounds except for torn clothing and dubious water from the prison basin. For three months, he has suffered with untreated fractures and breaks in his elbow and palm, his fingers, two broken ribs, and a tear in the tendons of his hand. He has lost 35 kilograms (over 70 pounds) of weight as a result of the starvation policy imposed on the prisoners.
The Asra Media Office said that the jailers in Gilboa prison deliberately poured water on his body and then exposed him to electricity, in order to torture him through electrocution; he was also placed in a room with prisoners suffering from scabies without treatment, which led to him developing boils and sores on his body. He has severe difficulty moving his hands as a result, and is denied even basic painkillers, when, in the past, any Palestinian prisoner’s health issues were treated with paracetamol/acetaminophen.
Barghouti was beaten by the guards on 1 November 2025, 11 October 2025, 10 October 2025, and 30 September 2025, according to the most recent reports. On 30 August 2025, his severe beating at the hand of the Zionist prison guards led to the breaking of his elbow and palm, with visible deformation of the bones due to lack of treatment.
Abdullah Barghouti is a Jordanian-Palestinian citizen who was the leading engineer of the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, following the assassination of Yahya Ayyash.
His release, along with that of other imprisoned resistance leaders, like Ibrahim Hamed, Hassan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayyed, Ahmad Sa’adat and Marwan Barghouti, is one of the top priorities of the Palestinian resistance in a prisoner exchange. Inside the prisons, he wrote the novel/memoir, “Prince of the Shadow: Engineer on the Road” in 2012, presenting a fictionalized work based on his life story in prison, his resistance to the occupation, and his emergence within the resistance. He spent 10 continuous years in solitary confinement in the occupation prisons and has been repeatedly held in isolation; he has had less than 10 family visits during his 23 years of imprisonment.
These most recent reports follow the alarm raised by Barghouti’s daugher Tala, in April, when she reported that Barghouti has bruises and open wounds all over his body; his fellow prisoners in the occupation jails help him to disinfect his wounds with dishwashing liquid, as they are denied sanitary products and he is actively being denied access to healthcare.
“The lawyer left the visit with tears in her eyes, unable to convey the shock and anguish she witnessed. It encapsulated the daily torment of a prisoner whose dignity is being crushed without mercy,” Tala reported. He struggles to stand or to sleep due to his multiple injuries, including boils and bone fractures. He reported that occupation soldiers threatened Barghouti: “We will kill you as we killed Sinwar, all of you, one by one!” Multiple liberated prisoners have reported specific demands to curse the martyred Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and other major national figures under torture inside the Zionist jails.

We urge all supporters of Palestine and the Palestinian cause to speak out actively and take action through demonstrations, mass actions and direct actions to confront the abuse of Palestinian prisoners, including Abdullah Barghouti and fellow Palestinian leaders. The imperialist powers, like the US, Canada, Britain, Germany, France and the Netherlands, that continue to arm, support and provide cover for the Zionist genocidal regime in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, are fully implicated in these inhuman actions. This moment is no less urgent than that prior to the “ceasefire”, violated daily by the occupation.

Today, the Zionist regime is attempting to legitimize its policy of systematic rape, torture and abuse by passing the law of the execution of Palestinian prisoners. It is daily confiscating land and taking the lives of martyrs in the West Bank. It is conspiring with the United States and given free rein by the illegitimate and unjust Security Council resolution passed on 17 November to impose joint imperialist/Zionist occupation on Gaza. It is up to the international movement to not leave the prisoners, the resistance, and the Palestinian people alone to confront this vicious enemy.
Indeed, repressive acts by imperialist powers — such as the US’ and Canada’s sanctions on Samidoun on 15 October 2024— are meant to deprive the Palestinian prisoners’ movement of external support and solidarity, to hide the crimes being committed against them and prevent the perpetrators from being held accountable, and to limit, chill and suppress the growing movement for the liberation of Palestinian prisoners as part and parcel of the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea. They especially seek to repress this movement as the Palestinian resistance has made clear that it insists upon and is committed to a proper prisoner exchange with dignity to release Palestinian leaders and all Palestinian prisoners in the Zionist jails. The repression in the imperial core is also meant as a mechanism of pressure against the Palestinian people, their prisoners and their Resistance.
Our entire movement must respond collectively to such repression by organizing even more loudly, clearly and effectively to shut down the imperialist-Zionist war machine, to support the Palestinian resistance and all forces of resistance in the region, and to ensure that the Palestinian prisoners are not now and will never be isolated from the Palestinian people, the Arab, Islamic and regional liberation causes, and the international movement for justice.

Athens, Madrid, NYC Events and Posters Honor the Struggle and Martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar
On Thursday, 16 October, Gather 4 Gaza — together with an array of organizations and activists, including Samidoun activists in Athens, Greece — called for a vigil in honor of martyred Palestinian leader, revolutionary, liberated prisoner and chair of the Hamas political bureau, Yahya Sinwar, on the first anniversary of his martyrdom in Tel al-Sultan, Rafah, battling the invading genocidal Zionist forces on the front lines of struggle.
The vigil was organized for Syntagma Square, a main square in central Athens that is often home to protests and demonstrations. However, one hour before the scheduled vigil, the director of Athens police banned the commemoration — and all other events in Syntagma Square until the morning of 17 October.
Undeterred, activists in the Exarcheia neighborhood hung a banner saying, “Let’s be clear: Armed struggle is a right!”
The vigil moved forward, as activists hung another banner featuring Sinwar, spoke, lit candles, and gathered together to honor his revolutionary legacy. Activists hung hundreds of posters in working-class and popular neighborhoods throughout the city.
Also on the evening of 16 October, posters in honor of Sinwar appeared throughout Madrid, Spain, honoring his legacy on the anniversary of his martyrdom.
In New York City, the Bronx Anti-War Coalition and others organized a vigil for Sinwar, with images, flags and banners highlighting the forces of the Resistance in Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon and Iran.
As Samidoun noted in our statement marking the anniversary of his martyrdom, “Zionists and imperialists have attempted to demonize Sinwar as a “terrorist,” while attempting to terrorize people against even mentioning his name, European governments have banned vigils in his memory, while the occupation has imprisoned Palestinians for posting about him. Occupation torturers and jailers have attempted to force the prisoners to curse him. All of this is because the reality strikes them with a great fear for the future of the colonial project in Palestine: Yahya Sinwar was a peoples’ fighter who was martyred in battle against the national enemy. He gave his life in the struggle for the welfare of his people and in service of all free peoples of the world. He joined the thousands of martyrs who fought against the chains of colonialism from Vietnam to Lebanon to Cuba. His leadership, bravery and devotion to Palestine and his people requires our most profound admiration and respect. His behavior and life is a model and inspiration for all of us. All democratic and progressive people in the world must uphold his memory and legacy. Each one of us should strive to devote our lives to the task of liberation, in the Palestinian, Arab and international arenas, like the revolutionary martyr Yahya Sinwar did.”

On 17 October: Palestinian Resistance Confronts Colonial Assassinations, Imprisonment and Genocide
On 17 October 2025, we mark 24 years since the operation planned and executed by the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine: at the Regency Hotel in “Tel Aviv”, fascist Israeli tourism minister Rehavam Ze’evi was executed by four freedom fighters: Majdi al-Rimawi, Hamdi Qu’ran, Basil Al-Asmar, and Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh. This operation was the fulfillment of a promise made a few weeks before by the new PFLP General Secretary, Ahmad Sa’adat: that the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa, PFLP General Secretary, on 27 August 2001 would be avenged: “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, and a head for a head”.
Throughout Palestine and in the diaspora, masses celebrated this historic operation which marked the highest level “Israeli” official ever successfully targeted by the Resistance. Specifically, the operation marked an important effort to impose parity — and meaningful consequences and accountability — against the long-running assassination policy of the occupation, which has targeted — and continues to target — Palestinian, Lebanese, Yemeni, Iranian and other political and military leaders, writers, theoreticians, scientists, government officials, and revolutionaries.
This is one of the reasons that the occupation continues to refuse to release Sa’adat and the 17 October revolutionaries as a part of a prisoner exchange — Sa’adat, al-Rimawi, Qu’ran, al-Asmar, Abu Ghoulmeh, as well as Mohammed al-Rimawi and Mohammed Sa’adat, Ahmad Sa’adat’s brother, now martyred, are, like fellow imprisoned Resistance leaders Abdullah Barghouti, Ibrahim Hamed, Hassan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayyed, Jamal Abu al-Haija, Anas Jaradat, Muhannad Shreim, Mohammed Arman and Marwan Barghouti, both active leaders as well as symbols to the occupation that reflect the strength, power, and innovation of the armed and popular resistance of the Palestinian people.
Sa’adat, born in 1953 in al-Bireh, Palestine, the son of refugees expelled from their home in Deir Tarif in 1948, joined the student league of the PFLP in 1967 and officially joined the PFLP ranks in 1969. He is married to Abla Sa’adat, herself an activist, liberated by the Resistance and by the steadfastness of the people of Gaza in the Toufan Al-Ahrar prisoner exchange in January 2025, and is the father of four children. A lifelong revolutionary and militant of the Front, he has been arrested and detained multiple times for his militancy: 1969, 1970, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1989, 1992, 1995 and 1996. After being elected to the Central Committee of the PFLP in 1981 and to the Politburo in 1993, he was elected as secretary-general after the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa in August 2001.
After the 17 October operation, and amid the burgeoning Al-Aqsa Intifada, the Palestinian Authority, who had previously detained Sa’adat in 1995 and 1996, and which had engaged in a series of campaigns of persecution, arrest and even assassination targeting resistance organizers in Hamas and Islamic Jihad, once again enforced its policy of security collaboration with the Zionist entity and conducted a ferocious arrest campaign targeted at PFLP members throughout the West Bank and Gaza. “Security coordination” is a mandatory requirement of the PA under the Oslo Accords that created it, ensuring that the PA, and especially its security services, serve as guards for the occupation and pursuers of the Resistance rather than protectors of the security of the Palestinian people from occupation soldier and settler violence.
More than 60 PFLP members were arrested and detained by the PA, including Abu Ghoulmeh, al-Rimawi, Qu’ran and al-Asmar. On 15 January 2002, under the pretext of negotiating for the release of his detained comrades, Sa’adat was lured to a meeting with Tawfiq Tirawi, where security forces of the PA arrested Ahmad Sa’adat. He has remained imprisoned since that time, first in the presidential compound of the PA in Ramallah before he and his comrades were transferred to the PA ‘s Jericho prison in May 2002. There, they were detained in Jericho ostensibly guarded by PA security forces — but under the direction and authority of American, Canadian and British guards.
When the Change and Reform Bloc, the electoral slate associated with Hamas, won the Palestinian Legislative Council elections in 2006, one of their key promises made was to free Ahmad Sa’adat, his comrades, and all of the Palestinian political prisoners held as part of “security coordination” with the Zionist entity. Zionists therefore moved quickly to avoid any potential such outcome. Less than 10 days before Ismail Haniyeh, later the martyred chair of the Hamas Political Bureau, was to be sworn in as the Prime Minister, on 14 March 2006, IOF started a siege of Jericho prison. The American, Canadian and British guards left their posts to clear the path for the occupation, and most of the PA guards surrendered very quickly, although two were martyred by the occupation.
Ahmad Sa’adat and 200 other political prisoners where then kidnapped and taken to zionist jails. Sa’adat was sentenced to 30 years in prison in an occupation court in December 2008. At his trial, he stated: “I do not stand to defend myself in front of your court… I stand to defend my people and their legitimate right to national independence and self-determination and return”. In every key moment, Sa’adat showed great moral integrity and revolutionary commitment to the cause to which he has dedicated his life, the liberation of Palestine and its people. Inside the prisons, he has been a leader in the prisoners’ movement, participating in multiple hunger strikes and collective protests, including the 2015 hunger strike against administrative detention, the 2017 Karameh, or dignity, strike and the 2019 hunger strike.
Throughout the years, Sa’adat has been subjected to particularly difficult conditions of detention and was held in isolation for years. In the past two years, following 7 October 2023 and Al-Aqsa Flood, and amid the genocide in Gaza, leaders of the prisoners’ movement have been particularly targeted for isolation and mistreatment. Both Sa’adat and Abu Ghoulmeh have been repeatedly isolated, denied medical care and abused inside the occupation prisons, with little access to expose the reality of their suffering. In January 2025, it was revealed that Sa’adat had been transferred and held in isolation in Megiddo prison, and that he was assaulted and brutally beaten during his transfer, while he faced dangerous health conditions and denial of medical care. In April 2025, released prisoners also reported that Abu Ghoulmeh had been beaten by occupation jailers while being transferred to Gilboa prison.
The liberated prisoners in the Toufan al-Ahrar exchange have testified to the horrific conditions inside the Zionist prisons and the routine and systematic use of torture, violence, sexual assault, medical abuse, and starvation against the imprisoned Palestinians, while the occupation has returned the bodies of imprisoned martyrs to Gaza in horrific condition, revealing visible signs of torture, blindfolding, handcuffing and hanging.
The assaults against Sa’adat illustrate the larger context of zionists’ attempts to isolate and particularly mistreat the leaders of the prisoners’ movement. This was also illustrated recently during the visit of notorious fascist Itamar Ben Gvir — often compared to Rehavam Ze’evi — to Marwan Barghouti, after which Barghouti was beaten by eight jailers until he lost consciousness; as liberated prisoner Ayman al-Sharabati revealed, they broke four of his ribs in the attack. Throughout the years of captivity, torture, crimes against humanity and abuse by the occupation and its jailers, the leaders of the prisoners’ movement, including Sa’adat and his comrades of the 17 October operation, have remained steadfast.
While we have been celebrating the liberation of 1968 prisoners in the Toufan al-Ahrar exchange’s third stage, obtained through the struggle and leadership of the Resistance and the sacrifice of the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza, Sa’adat, his fellow leaders of the prisoners’ movement, including Abu Ghoulmeh, Rimawi, al-Ahmar and Qur’an, and nearly 9,000 more remain in zionist jails. However, despite the severity of the suffering to which they have been subjected, especially in the past two years, the prisoners’ movement remains strong, as it can trust in the Resistance’s strong and sincere commitment to the objective of liberating all prisoners.
This date, 17 October, reminds us that, despite the full-scale impunity provided to the genocidaires by the United States, Britain, Canada, the European Union countries and other imperialist powers, at the hands of the Resistance, Zionist crimes do not go unpunished. As the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades successfully avenged the assassination of Abu Ali Mustafa, national leader and symbol of the Palestinian people, on 17 October 2001, the Palestinian resistance, led by the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, exposed the illusions of the impenetrability of the Zionist military on the day of the great crossing, 7 October 2023, with the launch of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation and the beginning of the new era of the Palestinian Revolution, and indeed, the global intifada.
Today, the Palestinian Resistance today remains unified, active and committed to the struggle. The recent targeted assassination campaigns against leaders of the Resistance, in Gaza and throughout occupied Palestine, in Lebanon, in Yemen, in Qatar, in Iran, have taken the lives of great leaders: from Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh and Mohammed Deif, to Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine and Fouad al-Shukr, to Ahmed al-Rawhi and Mohammed Abdul-Karim al-Ghamari, to Mohammed Bagheri and Mohammed Saeed Izadi.
These crimes must also not remain unpunished. It is not the responsibility of the Resistance alone, but of all international institutions and those who seek justice, to hold the war criminals of the Zionist entity and the imperialist powers, responsible for their genocide, starvation, deliberate murder — and their assassination policy. When the international system fails utterly and instead provides impunity, the example of 17 October is a clear demonstration that the Resistance will not accept the ongoing targeting of their leaders and their people for destruction.
The imprisoned leaders and strugglers, including Sa’adat and the heroes of 17 October, have remained steadfast throughout the years of captivity, torture, mistreatment and crimes. Their stories, alongside the countless stories of Palestinian strugglers in zionist jails, leaders of the Resistance, serve as a call to action for all free people in the world to fight for the liberation of the imprisoned leaders and to impose it upon the Zionist regime.
As Sa’adat has written, “The Palestinian struggle for national liberation is part and parcel of the international movement of peoples for national liberation, international racial and economic justice, and an end to occupation, colonialism and imperialism”.
We urge all supporters of freedom, of Palestine and the Palestinian cause to speak out actively and take action through demonstrations, mass actions and direct actions to demand freedom for all prisoners in Zionist jails. The imperialist powers like the US, France, Canada, the United Kingdom, and their treacherous Arab reactionary allies, continue to arm, support and provide cover for the Zionist project, while pretending to celebrate “peace.” While the Resistance works to put an end to the threat of collaboration and restore life from the ashes of genocide in the Gaza Strip, they seek to threaten further genocide and international foreign occupations of Gaza and all of Palestine. The Palestinian prisoners will not be forgotten, and they will never be isolated from the Palestinian people, the Arab and regional liberation causes, and the international movement for justice. The struggle for the liberation of the prisoners is part and parcel of the struggle for the liberation of Palestine, all of Palestine — and the global struggle for liberation, sovereignty and self-determination confronting imperialism, led by the United States.
Glory to the martyrs!

October 7: Barcelona Rises to Commemorate 77 Years of Palestinian Resistance
On the second anniversary of the revolutionary uprising of Al-Aqsa Flood, Barcelona took to the streets to express its solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance and to pay tribute to its martyrs. Over these past two years, the world has witnessed the unrestrained brutality of the colonizer and the intensification of a genocide unfolding in real time: a genocide that began 77 years ago.
Today, while some Western governments proclaim their support for the recognition of a “Palestinian state” or line up behind Trump’s so-called “peace deal” — both proposals that only seek to strengthen the Zionist state in the face of growing popular pressure — the people of Barcelona once again rose up in support of a people who continue to fight against a colonial occupation through armed resistance.
In Barcelona, the effects and realities of European complicity with the Zionist regime are visible. Speculative investment funds born of the Zionist occupation buy homes and buildings and evict their residents; companies that provide lethal machinery to maintain the occupation are headquartered here; and complicit multinational corporations also maintain a strong presence in the city. During the demonstration, these examples of local complicity with the genocidal occupation were denounced, as has been highlighted in many other recent mobilizations.
The march, massive and full of energy, passed through the streets of Raval, Sant Antoni, and central Barcelona. Chants of support for the Palestinian resistance were heard, and the importance of backing peoples waging anti-colonial struggles from the heart of the West was emphasized. Protesters carried posters honoring martyrs such as Wafa Jarrar and Khader Adnan, demanded the liberation of Palestinian prisoners like Ahmad Sa’adat, and also called for the release of Palestinian prisoners in Europe, such as Anan Yaeesh, imprisoned in Italy, and the four Palestinians detained in immigration detention centers (CIEs) in Belgium: Anas Seyam, Fathi Alhamas, Hamouda Albayyouk, and Hussameddin Alras.
Once again, the police deployment by the Mossos d’Esquadra was excessive and suffocating. At the end of the march, clashes broke out with the police lines after assaults by the Mossos on the demonstration. The day concluded with six arrests and several others being taken for identity checks. We condemn a state that, while symbolically aligning itself with the Palestinian cause, represses those who support it and defend its resistance. All our solidarity goes to those affected by this repression, and we remain steadfast in the struggle to confront it together.
In this wave of popular mobilization in support of Palestine, more than ever we must remember the meaning of October 7, the day when the Palestinian people broke the chains of their confinement and initiated the latest stage of their struggle for liberation.

October 7, Al-Aqsa Flood: Today’s Palestinian Revolution Resisting Two Years of Genocide and the Urgent Tasks of our Movement
Today, 7 October 2025, we mark the second anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood, the great crossing of the Palestinian people and their resistance: the day that changed the world. Two years later, amid the horrific genocide carried out by the Zionist regime with the full involvement and joint responsibility of the United States, France, Britain, Germany, Canada and their fellow imperialist powers, it remains clear that the path forward forged by the fighters on 7 October 2023 is the path to the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea.
The seventh of October is now and will remain a great revolutionary occasion, a moment that is celebrated by the oppressed peoples and nations of the world as a historic moment in the anti-colonial and anti-imperialist struggle, and which will live on after liberation as a milestone in the path to victory. The red triangles of the Palestinian resistance have become international symbols of the ability to defeat the oppressor, and the legendary heroism of the Palestinian resistance has been written indelibly into the history of global revolution.
On 7 October 2023, the Palestinian people and their Resistance, led by the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, demonstrated to the world that it is in fact possible to breach the armored structures of the Zionist regime, set up with the most advanced technologies and with billions of dollars in imperialist weaponry, to defeat the soldiers of colonialism and racism, and to roam freely in occupied Palestinian land. Indeed, “Israel” can be defeated – and will be defeated.
With every bulldozer tearing down the fences, every tank mounted by the people it aimed to shoot and kill, every military base and intelligence office trampled by the fighters of the resistance, and every paraglider sailing toward the dawn of liberation, every march forward by the sons of those exiled from this very land and denied their right to return, the Palestinian resistance carried out a brilliant, strategic military operation targeting the military bases surrounding Gaza targeting the breaking of the siege and the liberation of Palestinian prisoners.
The effect was immediate, and not simply because the resistance imposed remarkable losses on the colonial forces who had been, for 75 years prior, massacring Palestinians, forcing from their land and confiscating it, constructing settlements, imprisoning and torturing tens of thousands of prisoners, destroying their villages, sacred places and holy sites, denying their right to return, and carrying out an ongoing genocidal assault on Palestinian and Arab existence. It was because on October 7th, with the launch of Al-Aqsa Flood, the Palestinian resistance made clear that it was capable of liberating Palestine and that a Palestine free of Zionism was on the horizon – and, furthermore, that an entire Arab nation and broader region free of imperialism was also entirely possible and within the grasp of the people and their mobilized and organized resistance.
Imperialism and Zionism are the Reasons for Genocide
Let us be clear: The proximate cause of the Zionist-imperialist genocide targeting the Palestinian people was not the heroic operation of October 7. The cause of the genocide is Zionism and imperialism and their vicious commitment to maintaining colonial domination in perpetuity. Zionism has always been not only a form of racism and racial discrimination, as was once correctly recognized by the United Nations, but an ideology of genocide, and one created hand in hand with European and, later, U.S. imperialism.
Palestinians are not targeted for genocide because they have continued and escalated their ongoing revolutionary struggle, but because the enemy they confront is a genocidal one, that has taken a nearly uncountable toll from the peoples of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, the Arab nation and the broader West Asian region over decades of destruction, colonial extraction, invasions, wars, deliberate underdevelopment and brutal subjugation.
This is borne out in Gaza today, where over 2.4 million Palestinians are subjected to the genocidal onslaught, displaced from their homes. Over 67,000 Palestinians are confirmed martyred, with nearly 10,000 more missing under the rubble. Over 90% of the Gaza Strip has been destroyed. The occupation has destroyed the health care and education systems in Gaza, targeting each hospital and university one by one; targeting aid workers, engineers, health workers, and security personnel for assassination, abduction, torture and imprisonment. 304 journalists and media workers have been targeted for reporting the truth about the genocide to the world, a truth that has outraged global public opinion and led to the international popular isolation of the Zionist regime and millions in the streets.
Today in the West Bank, where the resistance has been subjected to severe repression and mass imprisonment, and where the Palestinian Authority security forces continue to engage in “security coordination” with the occupier, the occupation is engaging in massive, large-scale land theft, settlement construction, attacks on Palestinian villages, and open declarations of the planned annexation of huge swathes of Palestinian land. All of the PA’s complicity has not stopped the clear and overt declarations by the Zionist regime, including its notorious fascist finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, that it will never cease its theft of Palestinian land, attacks on holy sites, mass arrest campaigns, and rampant killings.
Confronting the Enemy Camp
It is clearer than ever that the enemy camp facing the Palestinian people laid out in the Strategy for the Liberation of Palestine in 1969 is the same genocidal enemy that it faces today: “Israel,” the Zionist movement, imperialism, led by the United States, and the Arab reactionary regimes, with the caveat that the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, at its leadership level and through its commitment to “security coordination” with the Zionist regime, is now lined up with that complicit Arab camp.
Immediately upon 7 October 2023, upon the launch of the great flood, the imperialist powers identified this operation of the Palestinian resistance as not only a significant blow to the Zionist project, but a herald of a new advance in the resistance camp in the region, that with its steadfast allies, could break the stranglehold of imperialism on the region that has long deliberately undermined Arab and regional development, self-determination and true liberation. The leaders of the imperialist powers rushed to Tel Aviv to declare that their fortress was in place and immediately began shipping billions of dollars, Euros and pounds of weaponry to the Zionist regime to launch its escalated genocide in Gaza; they sent their generals to join its war rooms, and their spy planes to provide them surveillance of the Palestinian resistance to target their assault.
The rise of overtly fascist and extreme right forces within the imperialist powers is directly tied to their open embrace of genocide in occupied Palestine and repeated proclamations of support for “Israel”; indeed, they view it as a model implementation of racial supremacy. The genocide has been intertwined with Big Tech corporations, military contractors, shipping and logistics companies, and surveillance corporations, making the vicious, anti-human reality of capitalism visible to all. The U.S. aggressions against Venezuela and Iran are part and parcel of the same attempt to assert colonial domination on behalf of an empire in decline and unwilling to exist in a multipolar world as is its full-fledged partnership in genocide in Palestine.
At the same time, those who fight fascism globally stand with Palestine. Now, more than ever, the Palestinian flag is the global standard of resistance to colonialism, imperialism and injustice of all kinds.
Popular Solidarity vs. Corporate and Imperialist Disinformation
We are subjected to a global stream of propaganda designed to misrepresent and slander the resistance, from false allegations of “mass rapes” and “beheaded babies” to the unending stream of movies, TV shows and “documentaries” promoted by major television companies and studios. On social media, Palestinian journalists and Palestine solidarity groups constantly face deplatforming and bans at the hands of Big Tech corporations, while Netanyahu himself boasts of the acquisition of TikTok in order to suppress global outrage and condemnation of the genocide. All of this is necessary in Western state-funded, corporate, and Big Tech media because of the reality: people’s natural sympathy is with the Palestinian people resisting genocide, and the heroic fighters on the front lines of that struggle, and their revolutionary military operation, would clearly be embraced by the people of the world, unless it is possible to drown the flood in a sea of lies and disinformation.
For 16 years, the Palestinian people under siege in Gaza had built the infrastructure to withstand siege and develop their resistance, building Gaza’s underground as well as its aboveground, in order to defend their land and struggle for return and liberation to Palestine – all of Palestine. When the enemies of the Palestinian cause attempted to strangle this resistance project, with 2 million people on a tiny strip of land, through repeated violent assaults and wars, through a strangling siege, attempting to wipe out the people’s will to live or coerce them into submission, the forces of resistance instead developed an economy and infrastructure of steadfastness. This was built atop seven decades of resistance in Gaza, from the era of the late 1960s, when even Zionist war criminal Moshe Dayan was forced to admit that Mohammed al-Aswad, “Guevara Gaza,” “ruled the Strip at night,” to the great popular Intifada launched in 1987 among the entire Palestinian people, from the heart of Jabaliya refugee camp.
Amid the tens of thousands of martyrs whose lives have been taken by the horrific genocidal destruction of the Zionist-imperialist assault include many of the great leaders who have forged today’s resistance movement, and who stand as iconic leaders of the global anti-imperialist cause: Ismail Haniyeh, the icon of Palestinian national unity and self-determination; Yahya Sinwar, the legendary fighter and liberated prisoner who fought to liberate the prisoners, Gaza and all of Palestine; Mohammed Deif, the chief of staff of the Palestinian Resistance and the architect of a generation of struggle; Saleh al-Arouri, the great Palestinian fighter; Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the great Arab leader and icon of decades of resistance, the maker of victory over the Zionists; Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the heroic strategist of resistance; Ahmed al-Rahwi, the Yemeni prime minister alongside 11 members of his government; Ibrahim Aqil, Fouad Shukr, Ali Karaki; Commanders Mohammad Bagheri, Hossein Salami, Gholam Ali Rashid, Mohammad Saeed Izadi of Iran, Abdel Aziz Minawi, the Political Bureau member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement assassinated in Damascus; and many others, in the political and military leadership of the cause, as well as the journalists, doctors, security officials, aid leaders, government officials targeted in order to break the steadfastness, creativity and resistance of the Palestinian people.
And yet the Resistance continues, never defeated or surrendered, with thousands of young people putting their lives on the line in order to defend their people and their cause, with just this morning, news of missiles from Gaza hitting the settlements surrounding Gaza, and seemingly impossible resistance operations carried out on a daily basis by those on the front lines of the defense of Palestine and those who defend humanity from genocide.
The Prisoners Movement at the Heart of the Struggle
The Flood also came to seek the liberation of Palestinian prisoners, at the heart of the Palestinian cause, subjected to torture, isolation, arbitrary detention, and all forms of abuse. Infamous fascist Itamar Ben-Gvir had already been named the Zionist “Minister of Public Security,” and the Zionist entity had dramatically ramped up its use of administrative detention, imprisonment without charge or trial, while boasting of their threats to the prisoners.
The same draft law for the execution of Palestinian prisoners being pushed now was on the agenda in mid-2023. Today, there are over 11,000 Palestinian prisoners including over 3,600 jailed without charge or trial under administrative detention, and over 2,900 Palestinians from Gaza held as “unlawful combatants,” including not only the heroic fighters of the resistance, but kidnapped health care workers and doctors, journalists, and everyday people abducted en masse by genocidal forces invading refugee camps full of tents of displaced people. 77 Palestinians have been killed inside occupation prisons in the past two years, their bodies held hostage by the Zionist regime, often under extreme and severe torture. Multiple doctors kidnapped from Gaza have been assassinated in occupation prisons through physical and sexual assault, both in the prisons of the occupation and the infamous military torture camps like Sde Teiman.
Today, the leaders of the prisoners’ movement, leaders of the Palestinian resistance as a whole, figures such as Abdullah Barghouti, Ahmad Sa’adat, Marwan Barghouti, Ibrahim Hamed, Hasan Salameh, Abbas al-Sayed and Mahmoud al-Ardah, are held in isolation, subjected to frequent beatings, starvation and abuse, even as the Palestinian resistance fights to achieve their liberation – and that of their brothers and sisters in captivity – through a dignified prisoner exchange. The prisoners’ movement was at the heart of Al-Aqsa Flood, just as it remains at the heart of the Palestinian liberation movement.
The Rise of the Support Fronts
Just as the enemies of the Palestinian cause were made clear to the world on 7 October, if there were any doubts remaining, so too, were its allies and friends, who have risen in support fronts for Palestine, against the genocide in the face of an imperialist war machine seeking to destroy all who defy it. The great global movement of the people, in the streets and the squares, from the public spaces of the global South to the heart of the imperial core, is raising the flag of Palestine as the flag of justice and liberation for all. This has been met with legal initiatives from South Africa, Colombia and Nicaragua, and the mobilization of innovative legal actions and initiatives to hold Zionists accountable in the courts of the world.
In Yemen and with its rightful, revolutionary government in Sana’a, the people, armed forces and Ansar Allah movement continue to blaze a trail of unparalleled commitment to Palestinian liberation.
As millions fill the squares every Friday, the Yemeni armed forces continue to send their drones and missiles to disrupt the skies of occupied Palestine, and as the Yemeni navy shuts down the supply lines of genocide in the Red Sea, forcing the Zionist port in Umm al-Rashrash (“Eilat”) to declare bankruptcy. The Islamic Republic of Iran has continued its consistent and material support of the Palestinian resistance, while responding to Zionist and U.S. aggression with powerful strikes, while defying the attempts to cut off the line of support to Palestine through physical, economic and cyberwarfare.
In Lebanon, the resistance forces led by Hezbollah, who earlier in May 2000 set the region on a path of defiance of Zionist occupation when liberating south Lebanon from nearly 20 years of occupation, immediately launched a support front on 8 October, which emptied much of the north of Palestine of its settlers. The Zionist/imperialist assault on Lebanon, which continues to this day despite the ostensible ceasefire agreed to in November 2024, included the assassination of great, historic, Lebanese, Islamic and international leaders like Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, the horrific “pager attacks” which killed and severely wounded thousands of Lebanese, and daily assaults and invasions throughout south Lebanon, confronting a brave and dedicated resistance from which the occupation was never able to gain or secure territory.
Confronting U.S. schemes to “disarm the resistance”
As we mark the second anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood, there is a parallel assault taking place on Palestine and Lebanon – “American proposals” and the so-called “Trump 21-point plan” in Gaza. In both countries, the forces of the resistance, dedicated as they are to the protection and the best interests of their people, have pursued and continue to pursue every possibility of a ceasefire while protecting the core of the cause from colonial interventions, new illegitimate occupation entities like “stabilization forces” and a “peace board” run by notorious war criminals Tony Blair and Donald Trump, collaborator forces armed and trained by the Zionist enemy, and attempts to destroy Palestinian and Lebanese sovereignty and self-determination.
For our global movement, however, and especially in the heart of the imperial core – amid the governments fully, jointly and severally responsible for the genocide of the Palestinian people – it is our responsibility to do everything we can to strengthen the position of the resistance and ensure the Palestinian people are not left alone to confront the genocidal forces and their complicit agents seeking to extract in the negotiating table what they have been unable to obtain on the battlefield.
We must stand firmly and clearly behind the resistance in Palestine, and behind the resistance in Lebanon, against any attempts to impose “disarmament” – in other words, to impose helplessness in the face of the nuclear-armed Zionist regime and its billions of dollars in imperialist-provided weaponry. It is clear under international law, and under every basic tenet of humanity that the Palestinian people have the right to resist occupation and colonialism through armed struggle, and that the Lebanese people have the right to resist foreign invasions and ongoing attacks through armed struggle. The weapons of the resistance are the rights of the people, which represent, symbolically and materially, the ongoing struggle for the liberation of their land. Throughout bitter histories of betrayal and sabotage, most notably in the case of the Sabra and Shatila massacre, it is clear: any and all attempts to disarm the resistance are attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
It is clear that the resistance is not only the best defender of sovereignty but also the only force with the ability to impose the self-determination of the people of the land over colonizers that seek to create “greater Israel” over not only Palestine, but also Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and even Jordan and Egypt, despite the complicity of their ruling elites and their commitment to repress resistance in the interests of their normalization with the Zionist regime.
October 7 and the Revolutionary Promise of Victory
As we struggle to end the genocide, to break the siege, to rebuild Gaza, to defend the West Bank, for Palestinian refugees’ right to return, and for the liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea, we continue to affirm, two years later: Long live October 7! We embrace this call and this slogan because this day represents the revolutionary potential, and indeed reality, of the Palestinian resistance and the entire resistance camp of the region, and because it represents the indelible mark of pride that the occupation has tried to erase through a fountain of bloodshed and massacres.
This date represents the potential for victory and triumph, and the ability of the Palestinian people and their Resistance to defeat the Zionist entity and its imperialist backers, and it therefore terrorizes all of those who stand on the side of genocide, racism and colonialism, as it represents the end of their supremacy, plunder and domination. It represents the Haitian revolution, the victory of Algeria, Vietnam throwing off its shackles, and the future of liberation in our world.
We have been subjected to an onslaught of repression in the imperial core that is part and parcel of these states’ participation in the genocide, led by the United States. Indeed, just today, a demonstration in Bologna, Italy, was banned – after over two million Italians took to the street and engaged in a general strike for Gaza – because the organizers declared, “Long live October 7! Victory to the Palestinian Resistance!” The designation of Samidoun as a “terrorist entity” and the proscription of Palestine Action are meant to terrorize the mass movement, to rein in popular anger, and to compel the growing movement to be satisfied with illusory “recognitions of a Palestinian state” with no sovereignty, land, or self-determination and without even an arms embargo on “Israel.”
This comes hand in hand with the ongoing designation as “terrorist organizations” of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Hezbollah, AnsarAllah, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and a number of other resistance organizations as “terrorist organizations,” criminalizing “material support” and, in some countries such as Britain, even verbal support, for these resistance organizations or for courageous, newly proscribed grassroots movements like Palestine Action, who, through direct action, have caused significant damage to the British-”Israeli” – war machine.
The targeting of Samidoun in the United States, Canada, and Germany, alongside threats in Belgium and the Netherlands, is designed to silence solidarity for the Palestinian prisoners at a time when the Resistance is fighting for their lives, and to break the bonds of solidarity between the global grassroots movement and the active resistance in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen and throughout the region.
Perhaps these bonds of the unity of all fronts are expressed most clearly by Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, member of the Political Bureau of the AnsarAllah movement in Yemen – as always, setting an example that all sectors of the movement must strive to emulate – when he said, “Hamas has not lost its cards but gained new ones; our weapon is their weapon and the most important maritime strait in the world is now in their hands, and if you return, we return….Our theater of operations is Hamas’s theater of operations, and millions of Yemeni fighters are Hamas men, and Hamas’s war is our war and its peace is our peace.” We are, and must strive to be, one collective global movement, participating in one common resistance across many fronts.
It is urgent to support all efforts to delist and deproscribe resistance organizations and grassroots movements from “terrorist lists,” and to meet repression with greater solidarity and overt support; the mass protests, at which hundreds have been arrested, in support of Palestine Action in Britain, are one such example.
It is clear that the attempts to terrorize the people into supporting genocide have failed, as millions of people around the world rallied and marched, from Karachi and Rabat to Amsterdam and Rome, to bring an end to the genocide, and as hundreds sailed to break the blockade of Gaza in the Global Sumud Flotilla, followed now by the Thousand Madleens.
The Global Flood for Palestinian Liberation
Now, on the second anniversary of Al-Aqsa Flood, it is time to renew, intensify and build our global flood for Palestine, and to take up our collective responsibilities to shut down the war machine and bring the genocide to an end, in support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance. We must escalate the struggle and impose material costs on the profiteers of war, and we must embrace all of the political prisoners in imperialist jails alongside those in Zionist jails as prisoners of the Palestinian cause and demand their liberation, from Tarek Bazrouk and Jakhi McCray, to Anan Yaeesh and Musaab Abu Atta, to Elias Rodriguez and Casey Goonan. This is our time to make the international isolation of the Zionist regime a material reality, even in the heart of the imperial core.
Gaza is now, and has always been, the graveyard of the invaders. It is the path of resistance that is the road to liberation, with no surrender, and no defeat. It is up to our movement to truly globalize the intifada, to activate and organize ourselves as workers in the labor movement, as students in the student movement, as women in the women’s movement, as people in a revolutionary cause, to unite against imperialism, to be a truly worthwhile partner of the resistance making history on a daily basis, rising like a phoenix from the rubble of genocide.
Palestine is the center of the world. Gaza is the compass of conscience. The resistance are the defenders of humanity.
End the genocide now!

- Original Samidoun statement — Palestine: The Resistance Rises toward Revolution, Return and Liberation
As the morning dawns on 7 October 2023, the resistance is rising throughout occupied Palestine, smashing the siege on Gaza with a comprehensive offensive confronting the occupier by land and air, taking control of Palestinian land, seizing occupation settlers and soldiers and launching thousands of missiles as Palestinian resistance forces fight to advance return and the liberation of Palestine.
The new resistance operation, titled the Al-Aqsa Flood by Mohammed Deif, commander in chief of the Izz el-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, comes on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 war in which Egypt reclaimed the occupied Sinai from Zionist occupation, and is set to alter the direction of the struggle in occupied Palestine, moving from resistance toward revolution and liberation.
The resistance operation comes in response to the ongoing stream of crimes against the Palestinian people, the daily murder of Palestinians on the streets of the West Bank of occupied Palestine, the siege on Gaza, the theft of land for settlements, the denial of refugees’ right to return, imposing exile for over 75 years, the torture and attacks on the Palestinian prisoners, the ongoing invasions of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the 75 years of Zionist occupation and over 100 years of imperialist domination and colonialism throughout occupied Palestine.
It also comes to bring about the liberation of Palestinian prisoners, as part and parcel of the Palestinian people and land. The occupation has repeatedly dragged its feet in conducting a prisoner exchange with the resistance, and now the resistance has announced that it has taken a significant number of prisoners from among the occupation soldiers and settlers in order to liberate the 5,250 Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons, including the 1350 jailed without charge or trial under administrative detention, 39 women and 170 children. The resistance is taking new steps to liberate Palestinian land, to confront the settlement project and to liberate the prisoners from a position of power.
News is developing rapidly; however it is clear that the Palestinian resistance is determined to reset the status quo in the region and uncover the reality that the Zionist regime can no longer rely on its technological strength and imperialist weaponry to impose its domination on the Palestinian people. In particular, coming as it does on the 50th anniversary of the 1973 war, it is a decisive rebuke to the entire path of Oslo and normalization imposed upon the Palestinian and Arab people for the past 50 years, indicating a new path forward with a clear goal: liberation, and nothing less. It builds upon the liberation of south Lebanon from occupation by the Lebanese resistance, led by Hezbollah, in 2000, and the defeat of the Zionist invasion of Lebanon in 2006, as well as the successive heroic battles waged by the Palestinian resistance throughout occupied Palestine and especially from its base area of resistance land in Gaza.
In his statement announcing the operation, Deif said: “Starting from today, security coordination ends. Today, the people reclaim their revolution, correct their path, and return to the march of return.” He called upon all to participate in the resistance, and specifically to all the forces of resistance in the region, in Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Yemen, and all of the Arab peoples from the Gulf to the ocean, to join in this battle, which is their battle for freedom, dignity and liberation, declaring, “it is time for the forces of Arab resistance to unite.”
Samidoun joins the Masar Badil, the Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement, in calling “the masses of our Palestinian people, supporters of the resistance in exile and diaspora, allies from the liberation forces and movements, and solidarity committees with the Palestinian people everywhere, to express their support for the heroic Palestinian resistance, raise the flag of Palestine and the banners of resistance, and organize popular, political and media demonstrations and events to expose the Zionist crimes against our people in occupied Palestine….The heroic Palestinian resistance has opened a chapter of battles of dignity and pride at the dawn of October 7, 2023, and it is now responding to decades of continuous and repeated Zionist, American and European aggression against the masses of our Arab and Islamic nation from the ocean to the Gulf, and in the face of the wars of starvation and siege that the United States and its agents have engineered against our peoples in the region, especially in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Iran.”
As the Palestinian resistance confronts occupation forces, it is critical that internationalists everywhere speak out, mobilize and act to confront the U.S.-led imperialist system, including the EU states, Britain and all complicit powers to end their ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, and to defend the resistance. These crimes are reflected not only in the Balfour Declaration and the $3.8 billion in U.S. military aid to the occupation regime annually, but in the racist assaults on the Palestinian people in exile and diaspora throughout Europe, and especially in Germany, for speaking out and organizing to take up their role in the cause, for their return to Palestine and the liberation of their land.
Imperialism is the primary enemy of the Palestinian cause, creating the Zionist project and arming it to the teeth as a mechanism of attack against the Arab and Iranian peoples, alongside Zionism, the “Israeli” occupation regime and reactionary, complicit Arab forces.
Today, the resistance is making clear that despite the weaponry and brutality of the occupier, the promise of liberation is closer than ever before.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

Against the Treacherous ‘Trump Deal’: Palestine Will Not Surrender: Samidoun
Following the presentation of the so-called ‘Trump Peace Agreement’ by the Zionist-imperialist forces of the US and Israel, we recall the words of the leaders of the Palestinian resistance, from the 1970s to the present day, from Georges Habash to Yahya Sinwar, including the many people of conscience who put their minds and bodies at the service of the Palestinian cause: the struggle for the liberation of Palestine requires not only the defeat of Zionism but also the fall of the US-led imperialism that sustains it. Today, with a new imperialist proposition on the table, we reaffirm our position: there can be no peace without the total liberation of Palestine.
The so-called liberal democracies of the world in the heart of the imperial core express their satisfaction with this new colonial imposition, whose sole objective is to protect the Zionist project, given its inability to achieve political and military victory in Palestine by its own means. In the West, we have seen how the focus of media and political attention has shifted towards Palestine, in a crude exercise of conscience-cleansing by the representatives of institutional colonialism who, drowned out by the cries of popular movements, have had no choice but to begin to make concessions, even as they continue their support for the Zionist project. In a calculated balancing act, some of these governments have been able to admit that genocide is taking place, but at no point have they demanded that a genocidal regime be confronted or removed. They have attempted to substitute the necessary confrontation of genocide with a claimed “recognition of a Palestinian state” based on a series of unjust, illegitimate and indeed, illegal conditions, while leaving their relationship with the Zionist entity intact.
This new Trump-announced “agreement” — concluded, in fact, between the strategic partners in genocide, the United States and “Israel” — and Western governments’ defence of it have finally unmasked a position that never aimed to support the necessary foundations for the liberation of the Palestinian people, but rather to establish the political conditions for the maintenance of the Zionist and imperialist project in Arab countries and to pacify the growing movement rising up against it.
As is currently happening in Lebanon and in Syria, imperialism works hand in hand with the Zionist entity in an attempt to dismantle all the sources of resistance to its political project in the region. Therefore, in the face of this new attempt to revive the project of colonisation of Palestine, it is necessary to give our full support to the forces of resistance, who, with the highest level of political and military ethics, and with the legitimacy of international law on their side, are at the forefront of the confrontation against Zionism and imperialism. We recall the words of comrade Georges Ibrahim Abdallah after his release from French prisons: “Those who resist have the last word and decide what needs to be done.”
No foreign power has the legitimacy to impose its destiny on the Palestinian people by claiming to impose a “peace” through ultimatums and demands for surrender. We know that real peace and justice in the region can never be achieved until the genocidal Zionist project is abolished once and for all.
Similarly, we reiterate that the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Ramallah (itself subjected to humiliating conditions in the “Trump plan”) does not represent an alternative for liberation, but rather functions as an imposed and supervised structure that administers Palestinian life, easing the burden of the occupation, and seeks to contain the resistance. Our global mass movement cannot in any way legitimise this farce, nor contribute to normalising institutions designed to stifle the struggle of the Palestinian people.
At this extremely complex moment, it is our anti-colonial and anti-imperialist commitment that must guide our actions. We therefore call on people of conscience who have demonstrated their commitment to the liberation of Palestine to confront this new manipulation by Zionism and imperialism. We make a clear and urgent appeal to governments and peoples committed to the liberation of the Palestinian people to adopt unequivocal and militant support for the cause of decolonisation. This support must go beyond the limitations of liberal demands and translate into real pressure on the institutions and powers that sustain the occupation, and into firm support for the resistance on all levels of engagement.
Internationalist solidarity in Palestine today is reflected in support for and recognition of the legitimacy of the forces of resistance, the release of all Palestinian prisoners, the total liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea, and the implementation of the full right to return of the Palestinian people in the refugee camps and in exile and diaspora everywhere.
We will not congratulate ourselves for empty gestures or hollow statements that serve the European conscience more than they serve the liberation of Palestine. It is time to escalate our actions and stand firm in the face of the theatre of empty measures that our governments want us to be part of: if they want to talk about weapons, let them send weapons to the Palestinian resistance and to those who are confronting imperialism on the ground; if they want to talk about international bodies, let them establish a tribunal led by free peoples — first and foremost, the victims and survivors of the colonial genocide — to judge the leaders of Zionism.
We echo the words of Georges Abdallah: resistance has the last word, and the Palestinian people have the last word. It is the men and women who resist the advance of occupation and Zionist expansionism who uphold the struggle day after day, in seemingly impossible conditions that aim to utterly break humanity and the will to live.
“Terrorism” is a colonial term that we refuse to accept in reference to the heroic Resistance. We will not call surrender “peace” nor ultimatums “dialogue.” We will not endorse the demands of Trump and Netanyahu that aim to administer dispossession and genocide and secure gains that the occupation was unable to achieve on the battlefield, nor will we celebrate manoeuvres that seek to disarm the Resistance, whose fighters stand on the front lines in defence of Palestine, the Arab and Islamic nations and indeed, humanity itself.
It is clear: Trump’s “deal” has no “peace” to offer, only greater complicity and attempted legitimization of genocide and colonialism, which it seeks to impose through starvation and strangulation. As long as occupation, dispossession, and impunity persist, any supposed ‘peace plan’ will remain a euphemism for subjugation and an attempt to beautify the bitter reality of colonisation and genocide. Only a peace based on material justice — that is, on the dismantling of the Zionist colonial project, the return of the Palestinian people, and the TOTAL liberation of Palestine from the river to the sea — can be legitimate and lasting.
