Please, ask yourself whether this has occurred in your country too already: Deportation in contempt of court.
Please, don't assume, the horrors in the USA are only happening there.From the top of my head, I know of 3 cases where German CDU CSU have committed such deeds since 2018 in contempt of court orders or in deceiving courts, although "only" with individual deportees.
I'm not ready yet to assign the "plan to undo the rule of law". But this might just be my lack of imagination when it comes to assessing the devilishness of CDU CSU.
Fact is, they do have a well established approach of breaching laws and constitution, including in contempt of court, in other issues besides migration as well.But us citizens, we are not fully aware that this is happening at our doorstep, no, IN our house.
No one writes substacks about it – no one like Timothy Snyder, that is.
My, or our lack of imagination comes from a normalcy simulation we are living in. Where boundaries are repeatedly pushed outwards and we really just accept the new status quo.
So: CSU can send our federal police to Iraq to search and directly "arrest" an Iraqi suspect – without even asking permissions from the Iraqi government. Accepted as new status quo ✅
And CDU, when expecting a restraining court order by Monday 8am, can order federal police to deport a migrant to Tunisia. #SamiA
Similar event with Hungary just last year. Accepted as new status quo ✅I bet, there are many more instance, and maybe even with other political parties as ruling party in German states. I'm just not aware of them right now.

I'm obsessed with #Samia and her most recent album, "Honey." Her lyrics are opaque, apparently because they are about very private and personal things in her life, but for me the extreme specificity lends it emotional weight that is lacking in many songs that could apply to anyone.
Free culture aficionados may appreciate the #CreativeCommons licensed sample, although attribution links are sadly broken on Bandcamp.
