Alba never won any seat in any election at any level, but it provided a vehicle for Alex #Salmond, the former First Minister of Scotland and disgraced #sexPest (according to his own lawyer). It was also a hotbed of #transphobia.
The party of #SleepyCuddles & the #Transphobes is gone.

#Alba's legal battles with former General Secretary #ChrisMcEleny now get a police investigation. Its only MSP has quit, and the party's brightest hope seems to be the massively discredited #TommySheridan, perjurer who wrecked the #ScottishSocialistParty.
A set of lost deposits will be the last electoral legacy of #Salmond. #popcorn

#AlexSalmond’s niece Christina Hendry has criticised the tribute to the former first minister at the #SNP conference as falling 'far short of what he deserved'.
It's almost as if #Salmond had done something to piss off the SNP. Like, y'know slagging off his successors, and founding a rival party to stand against them. And groping his staff for #SleepyCuddles.
But of course none of that ever happened, did it? 😉 That's why Eck's niece is so annoyed. 🙄

I agree - but the #englishMedia couch it in those terms - I was merely pointing out they are making this error for the second time (the first being when #salmond left ) without any self-reflection
Having lived in #scotland as a boy back in the late 60s/early 70s I know fine well #scots are a nation and the #uk merely a passport. So no leader cult required - just courage.

Well I do think it funny that one commentator remarked that when #salmond resigned everyone thought #independence had lost its driver, then goes on to say #sturgeon leaving may leave the #snp project rudderless
But the project has #scottish nationhood driving it - no need for a leader cult

#ScottishIndependence was never about individuals. Those who said "I just hate that #Salmond" in 2014 and those who think the sun shines out #Sturgeon's arse now both make the same mistake. Whoever ends up leading the SNP will not be the messiah - the people have the power. #CultOfPersonality
