  1. I came out of Miko's announcement wanting to yell at the people who prompted it, and it takes conscious effort to acknowledge that's counterproductive. Clicks are engagement, views are engagement, comments are engagement, replies are engagement, even downvotes are a sort of engagement, and any engagement boosts bad posts and increases their audience. Every big platform works like this, and it's terrible for dealing with jerks who should be made to shut up.

  2. Mikkorone 24 is happening right now, a 24hr stream with #SakuraMiko and #InugamiKorone. It's holding 170k ccv right now, and will probably eat a lot of views for most of the day.

  4. Announcement bait-and-switch. There's no Mikorone 24 this year... because it'll be on Jan 2-3 next year. They even got (evil corporate) sponsor Coca-Cola this time.

    And this is why the two of them are probably at the higher end of the '400 million Yen' revenue per Vtuber [US$2.6 mil] from Cover's official data. Of course 400 mil is pre-pax, pre-expenses, so the actual profit isn't that crazy number.
