  1. He was taken as a slave, escaped, and then returned by choice. Some call it faith… others call it strategy. His story still divides people today.

  2. Isidore of Seville is officially the patron saint of the internet. I have no idea why, and I think that's a mistake.

After all, given the number of cat photos and videos we all see every day, the patron saint of the internet should be Saint Gertrude, who is also the patron saint of cats.

Today is her feast day. So happy Saint Gertrude's Day to everyone! And yeah, it's also the day of that guy with the snakes....

  3. Pagan Reclamation:

Perhaps not coincidentally, the Spring Equinox and Saint Patrick's Day are pretty close in time. I'm not saying the Equinox is stolen (Equinox being subsumed by Easter is more likely) but given the long history of Christian theft I, dunno.

Why u l, as a non-Christian, might not want to celebrate St. Patrick:

Saint Patrick is considered the person who "converted" Ireland from their native beliefs to Christianity They say "thousands" and tbh, I'm wondering how much "or else" might have been involved (BC that's sort of Yahweh's brand, u know?).

Personally, I don't see conversion as a good thing for Ireland and for the world, so like... no thx.

    Try celebrating instead:

The Equinox! Return of light, the end of winter, and the resurgence of life!

And hey if u want to get drunk and make spicy choices to celebrate life then that fits!

    Just don't get PREGNATE!

    (Unless u want to)

  4. A very Happy Feast day of Saint Patrick!

As the reverse of the medallion says:

"May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand."

  5. I wrote an essay on #SaintPatrick for #PaddysDay - about how Saint patrick represents a Cosmic-tier Celtic Deity, Lugaid.

Crazy as it sounds, there's a lot of connective material to support an identification between Patrick and Lugaid, and between Lugaid and the wider Proto-Indo-European god-type that's otherwise best represented by the Hindu "Purusha".

Enjoy, writing this broke my brain.

  6. Saint Patrick is honored as the patron saint of Ireland 🙏

Captured as a young man and taken into slavery, he found strength in prayer. After escaping, he later returned to Ireland as a missionary, preaching, baptizing, and building churches across the land.

His life shows courage, forgiveness, and trust in God’s plan. On March 17, we remember his faith and his mission to share the Good News ✝️
