@mattferrell as someone who wants to get back into #sailing and has seen too many #SailingLife videos with little useful information and lots of bikinis and reefs, it strikes me that these are very different than collocated solar / agriculture setups where some shade and some light is beneficial. These seem to entirely occlude large sections of sea floor. Their marketing, https://www.canopypower.com/floating-solar , mentions rainwater collection, but not shade effects, good or bad.

Colorful fishing boats and yachts rest in the calm waters of Dunbar Harbour, framed by stone piers and lobster pots stacked along the quay. The historic ruins of Dunbar Castle rise on the headland, a reminder of the town’s strategic importance on Scotland’s southeast coast.
