Since my first submission to Harbour, the #Jolla Store, (and that was 9 years, 11 months ago!) I’ve missed email notifications for app reviews (AKA comments).

Time for #europe to wake up and stop #bigtech to take over our digital life.

I plan to rely less and less on #Android apps. It will be a challenge, for sure, but I think it's a necessary step to break dominant positions and provide competitors -

@spla @kikeenrique Always superB to see new devs joining in! As Tooter (this message is send from Tooter) is currently mainly maintained by single dev, it would be amazing if devs would team up and work together. I imagine would lower the maintenance burden heavily.
Of course you can do what inspires you! I will anyway be thankful for every dev who spent their time to improve #SailfishOS <3

Today I celebrated the #EuropeDay by spending the whole day in #Europe, working on my European garden for the benefit of European #bumblebees while listening to @europeanspodcast on my phone, which is running European made #SailfishOS

I have become to love #SailfishOS more and more. Just recently there was first #Lemmy client made by great dev @ilpianista named #Dee.
I got so excited I first made my first ever translation to it. Well, with growing excitment from this, I created my first ever small PR (with heavy lifting done with MistralAI)! Spoiler alert, it didn't quite work, but Ilpianista made it work :)
Just created my second small PR! Trying to learn coding stuff so I can contribute more. #DeGoogle

#SailfishOS on the @pine64 #Pinephone, #PinephonePro and #Pinetab2 are all updated to kernel 7.0, and improved USB config. Just zypper ref/dup.

Everyone seems to be getting their new #pebble except me. So Rockpool for #sailfishos is going to have to wait until I do, especially as the official app has stopped even trying to use BLE with the og watches. I guess the more stable they get that, the less work I have to do to replicate it on a proper operating system.

Ugh this morning the Android support on my #SailfishOS phone entered a crash/restart loop, rendering all Android apps unusable 😩
Apparently the Android VM runs out of memory and there's no fix.
UPDATE: It seems I have found a solution/workaround¹ 🥳

Niepotrzebna kupa złomu - tak bym odpowiedział, gdyby ktoś zapytał mnie o moje wrażenia z użytkowania SONY z systemem SailfishOS.
Niestety, ale takie są fakty - kamera nie działa i nawet jeśli wszystko inne jest cudowne (może jest), to brak aparatu dyskwalifikuje urządzenie ze wszelkich znanych mi zastosowań.
Szkoda, że Jolla listuje ten model wysoko mimo skrajnej niekompatybilności. Może gdyby było inaczej, wtedy ja (i pewnie jeszcze ktoś) nie zaopatrywałby się w telefon, na którym nawet nie przewiduje się obsługi aparatu, ani aplikacji android.
Cóż winić mogę tylko siebie, bo przepaliłem na to kilkaset złotych bez wcześniejszego sprawdzenia czy ten telefon na pewno się nadaje.
Za projekt trzymam kciuki i życzę mu jak najlepiej, ale znając siebie ja do tej wody już raczej nie wejdę. No chyba, że akurat w ręce wpadnie mi coś kompatybilnego - wtedy czemu nie... Może nawet opłacę licencję - która uważam jest w bardzo uczciwej cenie.

@MarkDW @mjd I'm looking forward to start on #sailfishos as my daily driver. Also looking forward to the TOH the other Half project for addons that will connect by pogo pins. Keyboard, additional eink screen, or something else the community will come up with.

@jbz #Jolla J2 starts with an EU launch but sailfish os is not EU exclusive. I would like to see them offering ROM options for @Fairphone #fairphone and other devices that are open to flashing so that Jolla can extend its #sailfishos userbase and interest from developers.

@ams @collabora collabora office suite will be ported to Sailfish by @fps_gbg . We need more European software to be brought over to #sailfishos. Shout-out to @Tutanota @aliasvault come to #jolla!
