Owlbear Safety Tip: In order to avoid attracting stray owlbears into your house, you should avoid advertising the presence of specific foods, and keep them in airtight containers. A short list includes:

* Nathan's or Vienna Beef Hot Dogs
* Honey Roasted or Chocolate Covered Pecans
* Homemade Chili (canned or Cincinnati Chili will actually act as a repellent)
* The ingredients to make pizza
* Kiwi fruit
* Most East/South Asian cuisine
* Most Mexican, Central American, and South American cuisine
* Fritos

Important #SafetyTip for folks in the storm region who have gas heat. Modern gas furnaces have sensors to detect when the exhaust pipe is clogged and automatically shut off. The exhaust is supposed to be 18” above the highest expected snow accumulation, but if your builder thought “eh, the house will block the snow, measuring from the ground is fine!” and you have light, blowing snow… things can happen and pipes can be clogged.
