Found this photo of the 2G ICE ammonia reformate genset test at Amogy's #amogyinc labs.

1) Glad to see a safety shower to rinse off any ammonia accidents
2) Don't see any double-block-and-bleed valve setup (standard with fuel installations).
3) Don't see any high-mounted ammonia or hydrogen sensors in either test bay (both gases are lighter than air.
4) Don't see any flame detectors in either test bay.

Two dead & 19 injured after a volatile reaction at a silver recovery plant in WV 22Apr2026.

Nitric acid mixed with "M2000A" evolved toxic hydrogen sulfide gas.

FWIW: the possible double displacement reaction:

2 Na₂S + 4 HNO₃ → 2 H₂S + 4 NaNO₃

How can a French factory reopen after an explosion kills 2 workers, without finding the cause of the blast?

Silicone plants often use hydrogen; unsafe #hydrogen levels can explode; 1 died in this plant in 2016 & a 2nd safety incident in 2025!!

It makes me wonder if this plant is under new US "safety" regulations, or still follows EU requirements...[insert smirk emoji here!]

NOTE: SCR systems are ineffective on cold starts!
-They need high temperatures (around 200C - 250C) to work, leading to high temporary ammonia & NOx emissions.
-The Immediately Dangerous to Life or Health #IDLH concentration for ammonia is 300 parts per million (ppm)! #woops

Korea Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Young-hoon issued an emergency directive on the 17th (the same day as the most-recent accident) regarding the #H2 explosion.
It is actually the 2nd #hydrogen pipeline accident this year!
Korea needs to establish a culture of hydrogen safety ASAP!
