Freiraum | Nach der Demo

Gestern kamen nach der von @KSnrHd in @heidelberg organisierten Demo gegen Rechts mit rund 7500 Teilnehmern (laut RNZ) einige der Menschen von der Demo zu uns ins Murx und es war ein gemütlicher Abend mit interessanten Gesprächen. Leider wird es für das Kühlschrankproblem erst kommende Woche eine Lösung geben, aber auch so gingen die 'kühlen' Getränke gut weg. Besonders erfreulich war eine Spende für unser Kühlschrankproblem. 😀

The representatives described the conference as a “safe space for discussion”. Said a rep: “That kind of space I haven’t seen in my 10-year history with the UNFCCC.”

The representatives have walked away with plans for three workstreams:
a. to develop national “roadmaps” to move away from fossil fuels,
b. to design new tools to address fossil-fuel subsidies – with support by the International Institute for Sustainable Development #IISD
c. to connect fossil fuel producers and consumers to address carbon-intensive trade – with support by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development #OECD

"The Arizona Two Spirit Powwow returned to #PhoenixArizona on Saturday, February 22, to spotlight Indigenous #LGBTQ+ and two-spirit people for a day of cultural celebration and community.

"Hosted at South Mountain Community College, the event welcomed dancers, drum groups and attendees from across the region. More than just a traditional gathering, the powwow allowed two-spirit individuals to celebrate their identities and honor their place in Indigenous culture.

“'This (powwow) is a perfect example of a #SafeSpace for people to come and dance in whatever category they want to dance in, dress the way that they feel good about themselves, love who they want to love, and they are safe here. This tells the community we are here, we are here for you,' Sheila Lopez said.

"Lopez is the founder of Arizona’s first Two Spirit Powwow and the first Native chapter of #PFLAG, which bills itself as the country’s largest advocacy organization that supports LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.

"President Donald Trump’s recent executive actions have left #transgender and two-spirit communities uncertain about their rights and recognition going forward.

"'It is super important right now with the administration, what they’re doing to pretty much wipe away trans people. It’s super critical right now for us to continue to show up in the community, to say we’re here, we’re not going anywhere and you can’t erase us, period,' Lopez said."

Eine #Linke Grundüberzeugung ist doch, dass #Menschen an sich gut sind und nur ein friedliches, faires, #bildung|sorientiertes Umfeld brauchen, damit sie ihr volles #Potenzial entfalten.
Also warum bieten wir den halbgaren #Neulingen so ungern ein freundliches, faires, bildungsorientiertes Umfeld, anstatt sie für ihre Ausrutscher anzukacken?

Eine komplette Bewegung kann kein #SafeSpace sein, wenn sie wachsen will.
