Do not buy #Sabrent garbage. The NVME's hardware is fine....their support for upgrading firmware is Windows only. #Linux appears to be SOL. I've spent 3 hours trying to get around this with a VM. No luck as the tool shits the bed on executing. It is a VM after all, but who the heck knows.

I've done a sfc, no joy, and it is in a physical m.2 slot. I'm wondering if Sabrent is blocking the use of Windows 10 because #Microslop has EOLed 10.

Oh and before anyone asks the case that I would recommend is the SABRENT EC-SNVE it runs the Realtek RTL9210B-CG has 10 Gbit USB-C
Supports both m.2 NVME and SATA drives
It's tool-free & doesn't need an additional thermal pad.

I got mine in May and it came with the latest firmware already flashed.
The downside, you need to run M$ Winblows to update the firmware.

The ORICO M2PV-C3 and ORICO PW use the same chip but those I got needed firmware updates and there thermals are worse also the M2PV-C3 is NOT tool-free and both need thermal pads (that are included) but will wear out quickly if you change drives a lot.

I do run a white ORICO PW as boot drive on my Raspberry Pi 400

I am wondering if the time difference is storage-driven or CPU driven. Both are to NVMe-backed zpools but one is Gen 3 (#Kingston) and the other is Gen 4 (#Sabrent). It's over a #10G network but even so, I wouldn't really expect storage or cpu to be a "bottleneck" here as I thought the network would be the weak link by miles (even at 10G). I find this a little interesting.
