Dans les temps de création et de résidence, les artistes du collectif RYBN.ORG s’intéresseront aux failles des LLMs (grands modèles de langage) et à la manière dont les notions de sabotage et de luddisme se trouvent réactualisées au moment du déferlement de ces modèles génératifs. Plusieurs procédés ont été mis au point pour ralentir ou enrayer la colonisation des IA de nos espaces numériques, comme par exemple, des labyrinthes statistiques, où les IA viennent s’abîmer. Une faune et une flore luxuriantes peuplent ces dédales de données. On y croise des perroquets (stochastiques), des plantes carnivores (Népenthès), des poisons imaginaires (Iocaine), et même, le fantôme de Don Quichotte (Quixotic).

Depuis plus de dix ans, le collectif d’artistes RYBN.ORG s’intéresse à la vulgarisation des logiques premières qui gouvernent le fonctionnement de l’IA (Intelligence Artificielle), afin de comprendre ce que celle-ci permet et d’en souligner ses limites.
À cet effet, le collectif a mis au point plusieurs ateliers sous forme de jeux collectifs, qui se passent de l’ordinateur et ne fonctionnent qu’avec des moyens très simples (papier et crayons, fil, et quelques autres éléments non techniques). Les participants des ateliers créent par exemple ensemble une machine apprenante à gagner au jeu de morpion avec des boites d’allumettes et des perles ; ou bien, ils sont invités à faire l’expérience de l’absurde des logiques numériques par l’écriture et l’exécution de jeux d’instructions, à interpréter comme autant de chorégraphies miniatures ; ou encore, les participants sont invités à assimiler les tics de langage de l’IA, afin de se faire passer pour une machine et tromper un examinateur humain au cours d’une conversation mimant un test de Turing à l’envers.
Avec ces jeux, il s’agit ici de sensibiliser des publics non-experts, de manière ludique, en comprenant ce que peut, et surtout ce que ne peut pas, l’intelligence artificielle (IA), au moment de son déploiement à tous les étages de la société.

Anyway I’m on the downhill slope on my new manuscript #Sabot, which is a reimagining of Edward Abbey’s original story - a near-future realistic #Fiction piece that’s a departure from my obsession with science fiction. I’m confident it’ll be out in the first half of ‘26.

You may have heard that President Musk's latest inane demand to the civil service was an email that went out demanding that all U.S. government employees summarize what they accomplished in 5 bullet points, and send it via email to [email protected] .
This is, of course, ludicrous and pointless. There's no real way to use such unstructured data - it's probably just another attempt to terrorize employees into quitting.
However... if you assume they do actually want to do something with this data, then polluting that data with garbage, lots of garbage, enough to drown out any real responses, would be a good way of throwing a wrench into that bit of ratf*ckery (the workers threw their shoes, called sabot, into the machines, hence ... sabotage).
This would be impossible, of course, if the email address [email protected] were closed to submissions from outside government networks, as it should be. But it isn't. The DOGE bros are incompetent as well as everything else.
It would be a real shame if [email protected] drowned in useless reports, preventing this technique from working. So don't do that.
That email address, again, is `[email protected]`. That's `hr` at `opm.gov`.

Panel 17 in our series The Saboteurs. Sabot starts by slapping a ACAB sticker onto a blue mailbox, then he moves to slapping one over a thin blue line bumper sticker. Then as he spray paints an alleyway he is caught by the police, and sent to jail. He is paw-printed, and booked into a cell. This cell cannot hold him and he bends the bars back and escapes into the night to burn down the police station as he leaves.
