Samsung unveils the Galaxy S26 FE!

A new member of the Galaxy S26 flagship family has arrived, with the Galaxy S26 FE being unveiled in today’s Galaxy Event August 2026. The flagship device will be available at the beginning of September, which brings premium experiences to more Galaxy users.

The Galaxy S26 FE sports an enhanced three-camera system, which allows you to capture great photographs. With advanced photo processing, you can now feel more confident in taking photos in various situations, whether it’s a still scene or a fast-moving action scene.

My FanCam allows you to track a selected person and keeps them centered during the whole video. Super Steady with Horizontal Lock helps you capture fast-moving footages while maintaining the level balance. 3x optical zoom allows you to take photos from a distance, and an enhanced 12 MP front camera allows you to capture wider group photos. Nightography allows you to capture bright shots in low-light conditions, and Photo Assist uses natural language prompts to refine images.

The Galaxy S26 FE is also packed with AI features, such as Gemini Omni, updated Now Brief, Now Nudge, and Circle to Search with Google. You can now customize briefing cards on your Now Brief page, such as wellness insights. Meanwhile, Now Nudge has been expanded to select third-party apps and notifications, ensuring that more insights turn to relevant actions.

The phone is also built with longevity in mind, providing it with seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. The phone is powered by a 4,900 mAh battery for more productivity. Fast charging ensures that your phone reaches 69% charge in around 30 minutes with the 45W adapter. Sharp and smooth visuals are also achieved with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with up to 120 Hz refresh rate, which provides clarity for gaming, browsing, and other creative work.

The Galaxy S26 FE starts from $699, with Pistachio, Blueberry, and Graphite as available color choices, and will go retail starting September 4th.

Samsung starts working on the Galaxy S26 FE firmware

The fourth device is joining the Galaxy S26 family, which is the Galaxy S26 FE. This phone is a successor to the Galaxy S25 FE that was released last year. The FE phones often have lower specifications than the base flagship phone, and come cheaper and more affordable.

As spotted by Mohammed Khatri, Samsung has started working on the Galaxy S26 FE firmware, and the model number is now known as SM-S741U for locked US models. Currently, it’s at build S741USQU0AZE5, and the phone is to be released with One UI 9.0 and Android 17 as the operating system.

The Galaxy S26 FE is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 2500 SoC as the initial Geekbench report stated, with 8 GB of RAM being on the phone. The same report also states that Android 17 is used, suggesting that this phone is going to launch with One UI 9.0 out of the box.

The global models of the Galaxy S26 FE haven’t been spotted yet, but as time goes on, Samsung will release the Galaxy S26 FE in the second half of this year.
