One UI 8.5 has made a significant appearance, with new features and other improvements. We are very thrilled to announce that Samsung has released the second beta version of One UI 8.5 (build ZZD9), as spotted by a beta tester, that has the following changes:

• Bugs that have been fixed
  • Fixed an issue where Bluetooth auto scan does not work when entering Bluetooth settings.
  • Camera function stabilization
  • Fixed an issue where brightness and volume adjustment in the quick panel is interrupted.
  • Improved the Direct Voicemail feature to always use the Samsung TTS engine as the default
• Many other improvements

To join the Beta Program, you must have the latest version of Samsung Members installed. You can get the latest version through either the Galaxy Store or the Play Store. January 2026 is here, and Samsung have focused on releasing the January 2026 security patch for the majority of Galaxy users worldwide. As per their rollout schedule for security updates, Samsung have released the January 2026 security patch to the Galaxy S23 users, starting from the Korean version.

The following firmware information is found:

• SM-S918N: S918NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]
• SM-S916N: S916NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]
• SM-S911N: S911NKSS6EZA1 [KOO, SKC, KTC, LUC]

To update your Galaxy to this security update, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings, and navigate to System Update
2. Tap on Check for Updates
3. Press Download Now
4. Wait until the download is complete, then press Install Now
5. Wait until the phone installs the update successfully

Make sure that you’re connected to a stable and fast Wi-Fi network to avoid high mobile data fees. Never interrupt the update in any way, or problems could occur later. Make sure that you apply all available updates once you update your phone for maximum stability. An update might take 5 to 10 minutes to apply, depending on the device and the type of the update being applied.

Samsung has recently began distributing the March 2025 security patch to the Galaxy A55 that is eligible for One UI 7. This is built on top of One UI 6.1 that uses Android 14 as the base. According to the latest data, we have found the following firmware versions released:

• SM-A556S: A556SKSS3AYB6 (Quantum5)

To obtain the update, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app
2. Navigate to Software update
3. Tap on Download and Install
4. You should be able to see the update information. Verify the version with your device model posted above.
5. Click on Download, let it download, and click on Install. Make sure that you download the update through Wi-Fi.

I wanted a glass screen protector for my #galaxyS23Ultra that would fit well inside my Peak Design Everyday case. I use the PD system with that case and the Out Front phone holder for my bike as it is such a secure holder. Neither PD nor Whitestone Dome thought this would work, but the glass fits like a glove. I re registered my fingerprints and they work perfectly as long as my fingers aren't too dry. That's a winfor me!

Einige haben sich einen Sitzplatz ergattert – je nach dem mit einem Klassenwechsel sogar in der 1. Klasse. Der Rest von uns steht in den Gängen und im Eingangsbereich.

Gegen zehn Passagiere stehen in der 1. Klasse. Ebenso eng, aber neben bequemeren Sitzen.
