Transcripts of the #Spectrum10K webinars held in May have been published. Not that you would know by looking at the HVM or spectrum10k websites. Thankfully Liam O'Dell is keeping a (sharper than mine) eye on this.

@actuallyautistic In its consultation document, the #Spectrum10K team had written ‘We incorporated the feedback of our Advisory Panel into the creation of the Spectrum 10K study protocol, which is the manual that the research team will follow as they carry out the study.’
Of course they hadn’t published this protocol, so I obtained it under #FoI and just added a link to it at https://gizmonaut.net/autism-documents/

#Spectrum10K is organising a series of webinars and drop-in sessions this month. Details at https://www.hopkinsvanmil.co.uk/spectrum-10k-the-consultation
That document also links to Spectrum 10K Themes and Responses to Questions (https://www.hopkinsvanmil.co.uk/s/Formatted-full-QA-document-HVM-FINAL-sx2j.pdf) which prompted me to send another #FoI request (https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/spectrum_10k_changes_to_grant_ap) asking about changes to the grant application and the study protocol.

The #Spectrum10K consultation has been launched.
It mentions: 'There are limitations to what can be changed about the study because of the agreement with the funders.'
It then pretends that 'You can find out more about this agreement here.' but that linked doc does not provide a link to that grant agreement. #SBC must still be trying to hide it.

If the #ARC had published the full grant agreement for #Spectrum10K in the first place... or had done so after I emailed Simon Baron-Cohen (#SBC) asking about it... or had not tried to avoid complying with the FoI Act... then I wouldn’t have had to send ‘numerous #FoI requests’.

In that recent Spectrum article: ‘Because the Autism Research Center is part of the University of Cambridge, which is publicly funded, the team and their collaborating National Health Service sites received numerous Freedom of Information Act requests for details of the study, the team’s email exchanges and internal communications.’

@autisticadvocacy @actuallyautistic Can the #Spectrum10K team change the aims of the research?
As the grant application is the basis on which Spectrum 10K is getting £3,283,002 from the Wellcome Trust, if #S10K wants to change the aims it would have to negotiate a revision of the grant application with the Wellcome Trust (which could be requested under a FoI request).
