I do agree though that we need to divide server functions between account servers and app servers.

Well ... not really. It solves the problem by getting rid of independent servers. Replacing them with portable account islands ("PDS"), that are totally dependent on a connection with a Titter-scale platform ("Relay" + "AppView") to do anything.
