today has been the first time in roughly a decade that I've installed #GNOME which I did to test how well it works with #Wayland on my setup. And although it's quite a different and very new experience for me as a long time #Xfce4 user, I think it's not as bad as I thought ... it feels less loaded then (dare I say it?!) Plasma, for example. Of course, this is just my humble opinion.
As for Wayland, it just works with my #RX580 which is very good to know.
Oh, and speaking of Xfce4 - I tried that with Wayland as well and it works, but there are still a few things left to be done, e.g. the mouse and keyobard setup didn't work (no setup dialog showed up) and there was no desktop background being shown, despite having selected a default image.

@[email protected] Consider the venerable #Radeon #RX580? Make sure it's the full RX580 & not the Chinese-only RX580 2048SP (which is really the RX570).

Will still need to run some benchmarks but this should be able to handle most modern games at 1080p and emulate games up to the PS3 generation (especially if I overclock). Plus it has RGB so you know it can game. 😂
TOTAL COST OF PARTS: ~PhP 20K. If you choose a cheaper PSU, fans, and SSD, you can definitely make this build for less than 20K.

As per the conversation on #LOL episode 2 (will drop Wednesday the 23rd of February):
My #AMD #RX580 (MSI Armor RX580 8GB OC) was released April/Mayish of 2017. I purchased it from Amazon on August 21st, 2018 for $226.99 (before tax). To order the exact same card today, from Amazon (Used), would be $575.00!
