Een samenvatting van 4 minuten en 48 seconden is eigenlijk niet voldoende. Er gebeurden gisteren zoveel andere gekke dingen in een knotsgekke editie van de Ronde van Vlaanderen, dat we de hoogte- en dieptepunten hieronder nog even op een rij zetten.
Maar, voor wie alles gemist heeft: hier nog even de samenvatting van de koers zelf, waarin Tadej Pogacar de sterkste bleek van de 'Grote Drie' en Mathieu van der Poel en Wout van Aert klopte.

CW: Ronde Van Vlaanderen had all sorts of drama!
Pogi absolutely smashed the men's race, he knew his only chance was to break everyone else on the climbs and he threw everything at that. Do have to wonder how much MVDP positioning cost him in the end though?
Women's race, well Kopecky and SD Worx delivered another masterclass. Unfortunately Lippert's incident on the Koppenberg took everyone else out of the race.

The Energizer Bunny van Anrooij is smashing it! But it's not enough to have any hopes to catch Kopecky, or to definitively drop Vollering. So I'm still giving Vollering a good chance to win the group sprint for 2nd.

Normally, Kopecky would tell Persico to work, saying "I have two teammates coming, so it's not in my interest to keep you in front". But in this case, Persico would just reply "So you want to lose another race to Vollering then?"
