This campsite is pretty remote. No cell signal at all. Even Starlink is struggling to stay connected.

I'll probably reposition the camper to another site today. The biggest problem here is that the solar panels probably won't get enough sun to fully charge my batteries. We're in the shadows starting at about 3 PM and I suspect I will not see direct sun until after 9 AM. That's just not enough hours to bring the batteries up to 100%. And I don't want to run my generator. #RoadTrip #RVLiving

Rainy day here just north of Phoenix. I'll refresh my RV (top off water tank, dump waste tanks) and pull out of here at 11 AM. Meeting a Fedi Friend for lunch in Cave creek. Art show setup starts at 3 PM, but if it's raining, I'll wait until morning. Fortunately, good weather is forecasted for the next three days so we should have a good show weekend. #RoadTrip #RVLiving

My main challenge today is getting a propane bottle filled.

Apparently, Blue Rhino has taken over in the southwest with people willing to swap propane bottles at an exorbitant fee instead of just getting the bottles they already own refilled. So there are Blue Rhino options all over the damn place and I might be hard pressed to find a refill place. Wish me luck.

Very pleasant night camped out in a friends's driveway in Sierra Vista AZ. It's warmer here than my last spot and I'm plugged into power so I can run my (quieter) electric heater. Only woke once in the middle of the night and managed to get right back to sleep.

I'll be here for a few days. Good thing; #weather is turning bad and my solar panels might need generator assist to keep the batteries charged. Although it's going to be pretty warm so I'd need less heat… 🤷🏼‍♀️ #RoadTrip #RVLiving #WX

Rough night, mostly because it was cold and I was worried about running down the batteries so I kept the heat turned low. Apparently, I worried for no reason (or my strategy worked?); I had plenty of juice this morning when I woke up. And when the sun hit the solar panels and the battery power started coming back up, I cranked up the heat.🤣

Found a campsite on National Forest land off of Rt 90 on the way to Lordsburg. Climbed up a slightly gnarly hill to a turn around along a powerline road. Parked out of the way with an excellent view down into the valley.

And two black cows just walked by.

Thick clouds means that my solar panels didn't do a great job charging the camper batteries today, but I should have enough power to run the heater overnight. It's pretty chilly, even now. #RoadTrip #moo #RVLiving

I'm having a lot of good luck today:

My overnight stay at the Walmart parking lot was actually quite pleasant and I slept well.

The laundromat in town is adjacent to the visitor center, which has a parking space big enough for my rig, a walking that crosses a narrow ravine to offer easy access to town, and no fee or time limit.

The laundromat is clean, attended, and affordable.

The only thing that would make my morning better is an unlocked dumpster for a bag of trash.

I'm in City of Rocks State Park, in a so-so campsite. Lots of privacy, but with no electrical hook up I'm sure I'll be listening to generators for a good part of the evening. I've got the site for three nights but I think I might leave a day early to check out the Gila cliff dwellings, which is about 70 miles from here. The folks at the visitor center here assure me that there are overnight camping opportunities on the road on the way back, including a hot spring! #RoadTrip #RVLiving

This campground was a good decision to relax and try to ward off this cold. The sites are widely spread, have level concrete drive-thru pads, and include remadas with picnic tables. My pups see perfectly happy to stay in the shade by the table. I'm plugged into power and water so I can save propane and treat myself to a long, hot shower. Best of all, there's nothing of interest around here so I won't be tempted to drop the camper and go for a drive. Three days of R&R. 😊 #RoadTrip #RVLiving

Ready to depart the campground/parking lot. This was a good stop to refresh the RV and do a few interesting things. I can now boondock for at least 7 days straight; possibly as long as 14.

Back from dinner at my friend's campsite. She made a pizza, I brought a salad.

Many signs that my water pump, which was running for no reason when I got back, is near death. I'll buy its replacement tomorrow.

Going to try to stay awake until at least 9 by working on a #bookbinding project. I bought a package of supposedly handmade supposedly cotton supposedly watercolor paper and will spend the evening folding sheets in half while listening to an audiobook. #RVLiving

Laundry is one of my least favorite chores when traveling. I know from experience that both of Wickenburg's laundromats suck, which is why I elected to do laundry before returning there.

I've been in some pretty bad laundromats over the years. Attended ones are ALWAYS better. Cleaner, with a higher percentage of functioning machines. I'd score this one A+. #RVLiving

I'm on stop #3 for the day, which is a laundromat. I found a very nice laundromat in El Mirage, AZ. It requires that I buy a laundromat card for one dollar and then put money on it as needed to do my laundry. I think the girl that works there told me that she'll buy the card back for a dollar when I leave because I don't plan on coming back here.

Anyway, I think I will be visiting the Mexican restaurant in the same shopping center, which smells delicious, during the dry cycle. #RvLiving

So far in various testing of my PC/OS setup, it seems that perhaps the oddness of my physical setup is wreaking some mild havoc. You see, living in an RV has made for some interesting hurdles.
1)Tower is in the bedroom as that's the only space I had for it.
2) I have many dongles and a hub, trying to ensure wireless access to the tower, as I am NOT in the bedroom as I type this.

It always confuses me when I hear about people joining the #fulltimerv #RVcommunity to "get out of the rat race" but then just commit to the same keeping up with the neighbors that they complained about in the suburbs 🤷‍♂️

Seems really hard for some folks to be content with what they have. That's the only way you'll ever stop chasing the next great thing.
