Rough night, mostly because it was cold and I was worried about running down the batteries so I kept the heat turned low. Apparently, I worried for no reason (or my strategy worked?); I had plenty of juice this morning when I woke up. And when the sun hit the solar panels and the battery power started coming back up, I cranked up the heat.🤣

Found a campsite on National Forest land off of Rt 90 on the way to Lordsburg. Climbed up a slightly gnarly hill to a turn around along a powerline road. Parked out of the way with an excellent view down into the valley.

And two black cows just walked by.

Thick clouds means that my solar panels didn't do a great job charging the camper batteries today, but I should have enough power to run the heater overnight. It's pretty chilly, even now. #RoadTrip #moo #RVLiving

I'm having a lot of good luck today:

My overnight stay at the Walmart parking lot was actually quite pleasant and I slept well.

The laundromat in town is adjacent to the visitor center, which has a parking space big enough for my rig, a walking that crosses a narrow ravine to offer easy access to town, and no fee or time limit.

The laundromat is clean, attended, and affordable.

The only thing that would make my morning better is an unlocked dumpster for a bag of trash.

I love it when I can get a little creative (and funny) with #photography. Here's my truck, camper, and cargo trailer parked at our campsite at sunset. This campground was a good decision to relax and try to ward off this cold. The sites are widely spread, have level concrete drive-thru pads, and include remadas with picnic tables. My pups see perfectly happy to stay in the shade by the table. I'm plugged into power and water so I can save propane and treat myself to a long, hot shower. Best of all, there's nothing of interest around here so I won't be tempted to drop the camper and go for a drive. Three days of R&R. 😊 #RoadTrip #RVLiving

So far in various testing of my PC/OS setup, it seems that perhaps the oddness of my physical setup is wreaking some mild havoc. You see, living in an RV has made for some interesting hurdles.
1)Tower is in the bedroom as that's the only space I had for it.
2) I have many dongles and a hub, trying to ensure wireless access to the tower, as I am NOT in the bedroom as I type this.
3)Driving 3 screens,two 1080p in the bdr, one 1440p out here. This means long cables. 1/?#PC #Tech #DIY #RVLiving

It always confuses me when I hear about people joining the #fulltimerv #RVcommunity to "get out of the rat race" but then just commit to the same keeping up with the neighbors that they complained about in the suburbs 🤷‍♂️

Seems really hard for some folks to be content with what they have. That's the only way you'll ever stop chasing the next great thing.

We just moved all our stuff from the rig into a nice little apartment in Escalante, Utah.

Lot’s of people think they can’t afford to live a nomadic lifestyle, but you would be really surprised to see just how much opportunity there is for #workamping in exchange for lodging in the most beautiful places in the country.

I've been chasing the milky way for a long time. This is one of my earlier images from a road trip to Arches National Park several years ago.

I think camping in my little 16' camper is a great way to get the "I'm living on a boat" feel. Space is constrained, all your systems are on board, you're aware of water, electricity, heat, and clutter.

I like it.
