The autobiographical nature of this caught me by surprise as I wouldn’t have guessed she was old enough to be talking about “President Taft” and referring to the death of Grover Cleveland as a 17-year-old. I mean, I remember when Ruth Gordon was alive and … well, I’d better stop there.

watched the #Columbo episode with the transcendent #RuthGordon. The writing was, of course, perfection (as was the scene at the wharf with "Dog"), but what was especially lovely was seeing how clearly happy Peter Falk was to be acting with Ruth Gordon. He loved the character she played (totally believable as a writer of murder mysteries) and loved her.
