If you haven't seen presenterm it's well worth a look https://mfontanini.github.io/presenterm/
Written in #rustlang and backed by a markdown source file, it's a gorgeous way to present code + prose + images as slides with pauses, headings, columns, and syntax highlighting.
I saw a beautiful example of a talk yesterday at #RustForLunch and hadn't realised it could even execute code live in the presentation. It has support for execution in a lot of languages but not #rstats so I've added a PR to remedy that.

We succeeded in writing a (very barebones) HTTP server with just the Rust std library at the Rust for Lunch meet-up today.
Here is the code as it was at the end of the hour, `dbg!` statements and all.
https://github.com/hds/lunch.rs/tree/main/static/content/2024-09-17/http-for-lunch
Watch out Axum/Actix web/Rocket, `http-for-lunch` is coming for you!

The September Rust for Lunch meet-up is today!
Due to illness, we've had a last minute change in schedule. Instead of the planned talk, we're going to have a group implementation session where why try to implement an HTTP server with the Rust standard library.
I'll be driving the keyboard, but the implementation should come from everyone else. So grab your copy of RFC 2616 and get ready!
I'll see you all at 11:00 UTC!
