And thanks for expressing interest in how things are done here down-under. The perfect excuse for me to post the magnificent #auspol #teatowel* an essential reference for political tragics in Australia.

The tea towel is the creation of cartoonist Jon Kudelka. It’s a bingo card of excuses that you can expect to hear from Australian Labor Party (ALP) #rustadons** whenever their beloved party is criticised for being anything less than the progressive party they (the rustadons) imagine the ALP to be.

Just going to leave it at that for now, as explaining every square on the bingo card to someone outside the US is a big task best undertaken over a few days & right now I’ve got a shit ton of Alt-text to write.

*teatowel: used for drying washed dishes. A common souvenir for tourists in all nations.

**rustadon: someone who supports a political party because that’s what they’ve done all their life so far and nothing’s going to change that. Often descended from one or more previous generations of rustadons, all the way back to the Stone Age.
