This reminds me of how #RushLimbaugh used to say he was a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
I was a white woman then. Not an excuse, more of a - and this is how you know I'm getting better - kind of thing.
I was in Fidonet, and I posted on an echo (a kind of subject-based discussion forum) that I was willing to come by with a knife and help him out.
I can't go back and unsay it, but that was such an awful, homophobic, transphobic, and just plain mean thing to say. About anyone.
I've done other white woman shit. I'm doing better, but I recognize that I will probably still make mistakes. I'm doing my best to own my past, and maybe sharing what I did and why it was wrong might help others to do better. I kind of owe it to the world.

EVEN MY LOCAL NEWS last night gave EXTENDED coverage to the #CharlieKirk assassination, barely mentioning what a RW provocateur was. Even interviewing a tearful local woman who credited herself with "discovering" him.
The way every Media outlet covered the man, you'd think he was Abraham Lincoln, not a RW muckraker who idolized the late #RushLimbaugh.
The #BullyInChief ordered all flags at half-staff and eulogized Kirk, decrying "demonizing those we disagree with." 🤦♂️
