I started playing #runescape at the young age of 5 yo

#jagex has to be one of my oldest favorite #gaming company

But overtime, they added many paid annoying mechanics known as #p2w, mostly in #rs3

But a few months ago, they announced that they were removing most of these bad mechanics

And focus on the #integrity of the game.

I mostly play #osrs but I think this is sooo cool and respectable

Jagex is a British (non-us) company and I hope more companies take note of this behavior.

I'm already burnt on leagues catalyst. I'm glad they did it, but the game is just too dense for the format. I found myself breezing past tasks by accident and I didn't want to turn back and do lower xp content. I hope everyone enjoys the grind. I'm going to go back to getting xp on the live game. Particularly OS. Pumped too see all of the content creators checking out the game!

I'm surprised to see the number of players Dofus still holds. I was joking with my friend the other day that 3.0 unity launch being impressive efforts since the game "probably only have 5k players now, and 107% of them are French".

At these official numbers, #dofus is actually better off than #runescape at 170k (both #osrs and #rs3 combined). which is surprising considering only #ffxiv and #wow are usually listed ahead of runescape (and dofus too obscure to even be mentioned).

RuneScape is truly a game that enables our AuDHD mind to wander down figurative rabbit holes.

We'll take all the time to get all the supplies for one thing, then get distracted and spend hours doing completely unrelated things.

Our ADHD inattentiveness might be why we still struggle to focus on any quests 😅 We only do them begrudgingly to unlock items, abilities, or areas.

Also, there are so many visibly queer and/or furry players.

If you still play RuneScape, do you play the modern one (RuneScape 3) or Old School.

We used to play it a lot in the mid to late 2000s, before burning out and moving on to other games.
