První testovací video z #RunCam Thumb Pro W. Low light, skládačka a moje běžné remcání po cestě 😅

#runcam #thumb pro 2 looks kinda decent for a cheap/light #camera thingy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKfEHUbUBdI

@futurebird
Asked around. I have two approaches for VR in ants nest:#ESP32Cam The camera is on the right in the pic. The black square is 9mm. It could be mounted on a servo that tracked head movements. Encapsulation to not squeeze ants?
The #runcam micro eagle Lens diameter 19mm. Might stay stationary, use software to track head movements in the 170° field of view.
What software would be easiest for either approach?

It's not a bad likeness, I think. Apart from the fins. I need the fins to keep pointy end up, flamey end down in the absence of vernier rockets and thrust vector control, though.
This is my scratch built 3D printed, flying model rocket semi-scale replica of the Gilmour Space Eris, with camera and altimeter.
Mechanically it is the most complicated thing I've made so far. 12 3D printed parts plus the electronics, parachute and shock cord. The electronics are pulled out of my previous rockets. I did put an extra slot in the avionics tray though, so I'd have space to add an inertial measurement unit later. The airframe goes together with bayonet couplings. Total mass (without motor) is 127g.
Hopefully I'll get to fly this soon, but the weather forecast isn't looking fantastic.
