  1. Attended the #WithernseaParkRun today. It was the 1st birthday of the event, which seemed to boost the numbers somewhat. Fun day, and there was cake!

Only 2.6 miles until I hit the target for the #CancerResearchUK challenge!

  3. My treadmill lies! It reckoned my run tonight was 5.6km. My #Stryd, which I put far greater trust in, reckons I only ran 4.9km. Certainly felt more than 4.9km though... serves me right from wimping out of running in the rain.

  7. Attended the 3rd event at the Woodlands #Parkrun in #Scarborough. They have modified the course slightly, moving the "twiddle in the middle" to the return leg. Quite enjoyed it!

Was a bit misty, but still really warm. 296 in attendance.

It was day 12 of my #Run62Miles challenge for #CancerResearchUK, and I've hit the half-way mark!

  10. Today marks day 1 of #Run62Miles in July for Cancer Research UK, which I am looking to raise money for this month.

Almost everyone knows someone, a friend, relative, loved one who has suffered from cancer. In the UK. Someone dies from cancer every four minutes in the UK. That is a horrifying statistic.

Early identification and treatment is key to reducing mortality rates. CRUK has been transformative in developing new treatments. Since the 70's, 10-year survival rates have risen from ~24% to ~50%, in large part thanks to the work by CRUK.

Please help today. Please donate today.
