The image at dawn/dusk and night is very good.I can see what goes on behind me in the small monitor right in front of my head inside the racing hood. The view is 150degrees, so I can even see traffic that would normally be in the blind spot of the mirrors. There is a second camera facing the front. Both views are stored on a SD-card that continually records. #dashcam_videos

Doing with the #KMX #recumbent #trike what it was built for (KMX stands for Kart #BMX): Doing silly and fun things like #drifting and #powerslide|s. And tipping over when the #slowmotion finally worked.
So here you see me in slow motion proving that you really can tip over a low tadpole style recumbent trike, even with less friction having knobby MTB tires on tarmac. 🤪

P.S.: I'm fine. I tipped over about half of all tries. It was a lot of fun! 😁

Fazit 1
Ich bin froh, wieder daheim zu sein. Meine Frau, meine erwachsenen Kinder und Freunde wiederzusehen freut mich sehr! Auch den gewohnten Komfort genieße ich wieder zutiefst!Ich danke denen, die mich hier, auf Mastodon mit Favorisierungen, Kommentaren und Ratschlägen begleitet haben. Das war immer ein sehr großes Stück Motivation, denn nie zuvor war ich derart allein unterwegs.

Nové 5 x 80W panely SunPower/TXpower nejsou vůbec citlivé na přehřívání a dodávají na poledním slunci obdivuhodný výkon. Trvalo jim 2 měsíce, než se z Číny vůbec propracovaly do EU, asi proto, že výzva k zaplacení cla se dostala z doručovací adresy ke mě do ČR až na 2.pokus.
Ještě zbývá pár detailů, než bude kolo zralé na zkušební jízdu... ale mám změřené, že s tímhle výkonem je v bezvětří schopné jet i kolem 40 km/h. Kolo je teď navíc asi o 30 cm kratší... a ovšem o 10 širší. Škoda, že jsme tyhle panely nesehnali včas na závod #thesuntrip2024 !
Domů to mám necelých 2000 km...

And the prototype of a reversible #cargobike conversion kit similar to the #Xtracycle #FreeRadical, just not a rear extension but a front extension including indirect steering using the donor's front fork to pick up the steering movement 🤩: https://altus.bike/

Rode at least once the 750m test parcours with a #Yoonit, an #HPVelotechnik #Speedmachine w/above-seat steering, an #AZUB Origami w/tilt handlebar, and a #Kwiggle. Had to try it as many compared it with the #Brompton. It was … interesting. IMHO it can't hold a candle to the Brompton, especially not in versatility.
Most interesting were though the visitors' bikes. #Rule17

First #recumbent ride of the year—on my slightly modernized '90s #RadiusHornet 1 short wheelbase 'bent. Just a few kilometers out into the countryside and back before dusk. It was fun despite slightly below the freezing point. Noticed that it needs a service, the rear shock absorber seems to slightly leak oil.
