  1. Sunday.

It was raining, gently, but it`s slowing down and the sky is brightening. By a quarter past nine the Met. Office says it will have passed.

There is a market today, in Ruislip, food and artisanal crafts, that starts at ten, so master nipper and I will head out there, on the bus, about half past nine.

  2. Ruislip Station, just passing through.

This signal box has actually been a listed building since August 2000, so it is celebrating a quarter century this very month - however the station was built way earlier, in 1904, for the Harrow and Uxbridge Railway.

That was taken over by the Metropolitan Railway less than a year later, and their trains still stop there, along with the Piccadilly line.

    Both terminate in Uxbridge.

  3. First picture, at last! Taken whilst dog walking, not so easy to take a photo under those conditions, the slightest spotting of another dog means that you have to lose hold on the picture so as to retain hold on your dog - then they find magical scents to follow, whilst your picture slips ever further from the frame. However challenges are also adventures, and they prove that nothing is ever really impossible, it just needs working out.
