On my lunchtime walk today, I spotted a Golden Whistler, and a Rufous Shrikethrush and one of the local King Parrots (who seemed to think I should have seed, but since I was out on a walk, I did not).

The small birds were making a hell of a racket out in the backyard, so I thought there must have been a snake or goanna, but couldn't find either. I did however, find a Rufous Shrike-thrush, busily peeling bark off of trees looking for grubs and bugs.
Also, one of my palm-lily type plants in flowering.

Plenty of birds out at lunchtime, but most (except for the thornbill) were quite a long way off, or very obscured by branches.
So today we have an upside down Rufous Shrike-Thrush, a Crimson Rosella, and a Brown Thornbill.
