Here are two runs of Unigine Valley benchmark on battery and plugged to the wall (both on stock settings). Performance is down ~70% on battery compared to running it on AC power.

P.S. On battery, the GPU and memory clock is severely limited but the temp stays cool at 50C. While plugged, the GPU is free to rip but fans are on max and the temps reach 81C.

Power limits: one reason why—unless you're going to tweak some settings—it doesn't make a lot of sense to use your gaming laptop (or laptop with a dedicated GPU) for GPU (and even CPU) intensive tasks while on battery or unplugged.You're leaving a lot of performance on the table if you do that.
