A development study had been previously conducted by the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (#IRDA) and Johor Public Transport Corporation (#PAJ).
The study proposed that the LRT should be developed to complement the #RTSLink which is slated to be completed by early 2027.
The system will also complement the #EDTP and the #BRT.

Following the successful completion of a six-month MRTS Young Entrepreneur Program (#MYEP), participants were celebrated in a #Graduation Ceremony on 2 October 2023 in Johor Bahru.
Khairy Consult Sdn Bhd and Adil Permata Sdn Bhd had provided #supervision during the graduates’ on-site #training, in their roles as the supervising #consultant and main package #contractor respectively, for the RTS Link Project.

The Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) has carried out a surprise Detailed Inspection on the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link Project to ensure compliance with the approved Railway Scheme.
The inspection is carried out for the purpose of monitoring the progress of the project in order to comply with all of the requirements set by the stakeholders.
