There is a very slight uptick in #flu and #RSV cases in #NYC, which may indicate that we're going to have a relatively rare double wave this #FluSeason, but it's still less than 1% of hospitalizations.
#COVIDIsNotOver but #COVID cases are at some of the lowest levels since the virus emerged, and there were 30 deaths in the four weeks ending February 7.

Cautiously optimistic because #flu and #RSV cases and hospitalizations are going down in #NYC for the first time in this #FluSeason! Nationwide, #RSVIrus hospitalizations are also dropping, and #influenza is rising slower. I'm hoping they will continue to drop in time for next week's live band karaoke!
#COVID cases and deaths are still low; only 18 #COVID19 deaths in the first four weeks of December!

Got a tip from @WeeklyAmericanPandemicDeaths that the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have quietly resumed posting data about the spread of #COVID #flu and #RSV!
The New School is on vacation for two weeks, so I finally have time to update my dashboard!
Nationwide 7-day average hospitalizations for #COVID19 have dropped to 0.8 per lakh, and #RSVirus has risen to 0.8 per lakh, but it's #influenza putting people in the hospital!

Why do I still #WearAMask on the bus? Because we're in the middle of #flu and #RSV waves, and #COVIDIsNotOver.
I'm vaccinated against #influenza and #COVID19, but not #RSVirus. Even if I can handle them, I don't really want to get sick, and I definitely don't want to pass them on to someone more vulnerable!
This #NYCTransit Q53 bus was packed, and the ventilation is just not that good. At one point someone sitting across from me let out a big wet cough.

It looks like as of the week ending March 1, #RSV cases in #NYC have now been below 1,000 for two weeks. The #flu is below 10,000 cases per week, and hospital visits for #InfluenzaLikeIllness are below 8%!
To be safe, I'm going to skip the live band karaoke I was hoping to attend last week, but I will be hosting karaoke over Zoom on Monday!
My mother and I are still recovering from #rsvirus that was diagnosed in early February. Please #WearAMask in hospitals, doctors' offices and trains!

As I wrote, while there doesn't seem to be much sign of #flu in #NYC #rsv and other #InfluenzaLikeIllness is clearly on the rise in this report, which is almost two weeks old.
There's no sign of a fall/winter COVID wave yet, and #rsvirus counts by themselves aren't very high, but it's something to keep an eye on.
I'm currently home with a mild ILI: no fever, three negative COVID rapid tests.
Please #MaskUp in confined spaces (elevators, trains) and where there are vulnerable people (markets)!

Maandag beginnen de scholen weer. De #griepgolf heeft de piek nog niet bereikt, volgens NRC dreigt een #zorginfarct, dan zijn er nog #StrepA, het #RSvirus en #corona in de mix.
De meeste scholen hebben nog altijd geen werk gemaakt van schone lucht. Verder ligt er geen enkel รฉcht plan, behalve wat spatschermen en looproutes in wat sectoren. Als het รฉcht moet. #Mondkapje in het OV? In de zorg? Niemand begint er zelfs over. Op naar het zorginfarct dan maar!
