English Electric Lightning T.5 The Lightning was developed from the P.1 research aircraft, and was a fast-climbing Mach 2 interceptor which saw service with both the Royal Air Force and the Royal Saudi Air Force. The power of two reheated Rolls-Royce Avon engines was enough to enable the aircraft to climb at over 20,000 ft/min! This trainer version is unusual for a fighter aircraft in that it had side by side seating (during this era the RAF's trainers all had this feature). A4O-GO, Boeing 767-3P6ER, Gulf Air, being pushed back from Gate 22 at Manchester Airport, some time in the early 1990s, as seen from Level 13 of the Terminal 1 Car Park.

G-11-782, Hawker Siddeley HS748FAA Srs 2B, Transair Cambodia, at Manchester Airport, some time in 1992 or 1993.
This spent a lot of time parked in various spots around the airport, awaiting delivery, and I’m not sure it ever got to the Far East.
