So mum is finally out of #RoyalLiverpool hospital, thanks to the #NHS. She's now being looked after at home by her wonderful team of carers. The complete & utter f*cking irony of watching @[email protected] witter on about enabling early discharge & funding home care, while sitting with my mum in #RoyalLiverpool hospital where we've been waiting for a week for someone to even discuss a plan for just that 😡 /1

So, back into #RoyalLiverpool again to see my mum. Waiting for bus next to my old school #KingDavid - definitely #AuldLangSyne! 2022 wasn't the best year for me, hopefully 2023 will be an improvement. #HappyNewYear

So, I've been rather quiet for last week or so. Basically, my mum has been seriously ill in #RoyalLiverpool hospital & I've been travelling between #Brighton #Liverpool every few days. While she's hopefully getting a bit better, her mood is *very* low. Meanwhile I'm pretty much exhausted. She has a good team of carers in place who can help over Xmas & New Year, & hopefully she'll be able to go home then 🤞

Not said anything before, but my 91yo mum is currently in this sort of chaos, at #RoyalLIverpool @[email protected]. She was admitted last Wed & spent nearly 3 days in ED before getting a room on a ward on Sat. So I'm up in #Liverpool visiting my mum who's back in hospital, at *new* #RoyalLiverpool @[email protected]. Even on the hospital site, driver behaviour is as bad as the rest of the city. @[email protected]
