Overview The City of Albany is a community located within Gentry County, Missouri, and serves as the county seat accessible primarily from the corridors of Routes 136 and 85. Today, the small city is notable for the local Poppa’s Family Restaurant, with surrounding rural areas largely residential and agricultural. Nearby communities include Stanberry, at the Route 169 junction, to the west; and Grant City, at the junction of Routes 46 and 169, to the north.
